I stayed twice at this hotel. The only reason being that it is very close to the Dehradun Railway Station. This property is in a commercial complex (with shops below) on Gandhi road. There are about three similar hotels in this building. My first stay was in room no 105. This was an AC room. Room was very clean. Bathroom was really neat with new fittings and the Geyser provided piping hot water within minutes. This was really good. I would rate this room 'Excellent'. The next time, i chose a non-AC room and stayed in room no 114. Room was OK. Bathroom was not up to the mark. I would give this an 'average' rating. So i would recommend the AC room. It is about Rs. 250 more than the non-AC. But it is way better.... Reception was manned 24x7 and they were very polite and efficient. I could not avail the complementary breakfast on both occasions.

Well, like everything on booking dot com, this hotel has been showed as something an is something else. There are three different hotels on three different floors of this building!!! We booked it online with booking dot com and on arrival was told our room type was full and had to pay extra for an upgrade. My wife and me, we both work in the hospitality business and she is from the UK and no matter how tired she may be, she will not bend as a matter of principles. We left the hotel by the manager telling us, "that's your problem" when I told him I know the guys running booking dot com website and it happens all the time with them" again, that's your problem??? Hahahaha. Anyway, don't touch his or this property with a ten foot pole. We travel for 5 or 6 months every year, year after year and never have we had an up tight response from a well spoken well versed reasonable looking guy ever!!

We booked this hotel as it was near railway station and we had some official work to do but are really disappointed with the service provided. We were three but they offered us a very small room. Also, the water in loo was not continuously available plus the water quality was bad. We ordered some food but they delivered it after 1 hour, same goes with the water bottle and extra bedsheet. The service is so delayed that it feels like ages. They really need work on cleanliness part as well as the bed-sheets provided were not clean they had stains. PS: The whole building (Luxmi Plaza) is so substandard with poop all over on the stairs and hallways that no one would be okay but instead puke. Not recommended at all.

Although this hotel was rated 3 stars it doesn't deserve the same. Bathroom pipe so shaky and though they say they have solar panel for hot water, did not get hot water at all first day. Water not coming in the pipes, not only in our room but also in Room nos. 102,107 etc., After complaining several times, the staff went to terrace to check the water tank and filled the tank. Towels were not kept in the bath room. and only second day after complaining the receiption, could get it. The hotel is at the backside of the main complex and the surroundings are shabby. Signboards are very small to identify as the main complex is "Hotel Grand" and the complex has two or more similar type of hotels. Nothing special about this hotel'

Nice and clean place , good value for money , even the staff is courteous .I travel often and will like to make this hotel my regular place .The best part is that the hotel is located centrally and very close to the railway station .
