The Club Mahindra Kangra Valley resort is an excellent choice in Dharmshala/ Mcleodgunj area. In fact, it is the best option for a good family holiday. Key reasons for my above conclusion: 1. We had taken the Junior suite room which is a very spacious room and also overseas the play area from where you can overlook your children playing 2. The resort has many options for keeping the kids entertained and also the staff is very friendly and ensures that kids are involved with the activities 3. Also since Dharamshala does not have many other options, an active entertainment in the resorts is a must 4. The resort also provides lot of options on the eating front making life easier Some improvement points: 1. LCD's in today's age is a must, the junior suite only had a 20" CTV 2. Bathrooms needs to be redone - no bath tubs

When I think of Dharamshala, I would think of hills and beautiful pine trees and an amazing view of the hills. This hotel has none! On the contrary, the location is next to a highway, where you can constantly hear cars and vehicles! You will not feel as if you have come to a hill station. There is nothing much to do around the hotel. The main Dharamshala market is around 5 kilometres from this place. Some rooms are hold and some are undergoing renovation. Although I should admit, the hospitality of the staff is amazing and every evening some kind of games and activities are organized by them. I would not recommend anyone going to this hotel.

I stayed for 5 days at club Mahindra Dharamshala in October 2016. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. But the resort is really not what you would expect from a club Mahindra brand. It is an old resort and doesn't have the amenities you would expect from a top resort( No swimming pool, health club, etc) The food is decent and there is a bar as well. Overall an average place to stay. Don't go there if you expect a five star experience.

As a CM member would advice other members to stay away from this property. The feel and facts of these property are very old. We had a smelly bathroom and smelly water for all 4 days and housekeeping said its normal. CM staff tries hard to overcome hotel shortcomings with service but cant do much. In room dining and al a carte dining are slow in service. My advice to management would be - offer less and offer best. In am attempt to offer more the entire experience of a holiday in the mountains is ruined. E.g. karaoke in badminton court at 8pm is audible in all rooms which went on for 45 minutes. Extremely annoying. Even though there were about 40 guests checked in at any given time there were only 3 waiters waiting the buffet and al a carte dining slowing down entire service.

Good place to stay..near to amenities..center of town..very little facilities in the place..good for temple visitors only..Dalai Lama temple visit is good. mountaineering exp is nice experience..they should have added more activities..

The hotel is suitable for family. the restaurant offers excellent menu. the staff are very helpful and the resort is serene. the garden is facing the mountain and is tranquil. early morning meditation is relaxing. Also I remember the restaurant team was too good. they make awesome dosas and a la carte is also good. one of the day we had been for sight seeing came back around 4 pm and the restaurant closes at 3 inspite of that they went out of the way to prepare hot lunch as I was not well to eat from outside. every day the housekeeping in charge would make sure that we were comfortable and the chef made it a point to interact to find whether we were happy with the food. our room was facing the Dhauladhar range and offering a mesmerising view. good place to have a relaxed holiday.
