A very good hotel to stay in. It is only 3-4 kms from MckleodGanj. All things are good about it. Offers a great view of valley from the rooms. Rooms are neat and clean. Food is also good. Thumbs up for this hotel.

The stay overall was a pleasant experience, though it was below our expectations. Room - Our primary criteria for booking was the room quality. Thats why we had booked a VIP room and not a deluxe or a semi deluxe room. The room, however, was below our expectations. The big white rug on the floor seemed like it hadn't been dusted in ages. The bedsheet had stains on it ,and didn't seem like a bedsheet at all, but rather some cheap white cloth to cover the mattresses. Location: Location is excellent. Although 5 kms from Mcleodganj,there are multiple cabs to and fro the town. The view is beautiful. The hotel is in a secluded area surrounded by pine trees which was just the kind of location i was looking for. Service: Service was good. The owner and the receptionist were very helpful in guiding us to the place. Didn't try the food though we were told they had good options there as well. Overall a decent experience which could have been better, had it not been for the shoddy room.

The most important thing which was not disclosed at the time of online booking was the fact that one has to walk up over 100 steps to reach the hotel reception. This is very demanding physically.

The hotel has a good location with an excellent view of the valley. A nice open air deck for sitting in the evenings or mornings and enjoy the scenery. We booked a deluxe room but on not finding a fan in it opted for a higher category. The linen was clean, Pillows little hard and too thick, Mattresses were comfortable. Additional bed was on floor only. The bathroom was clean and tidy. We ate only once -dinner- and it was good and tasty. The flip side is the insects. The doors and windows allow for mosquitoes to enter. The cupboard also had silver fishes. Besides you need to climb a lot of stairs to reach the hotel. The room lighting and the TV with a DTH connection were good. Overall a good budget hotel.

Had to Had to "escape" from hotel

We stayed here a few years ago. The memory still haunts me. The hotel was filthy. The sheets were filthy, the curtains were dirty the room had not been swept, there was a half eaten cookie on the bed! .... but since I had prepaid a deposit and booked for 3 nights, I was stuck. The owner refused an early departure. Went to McLeod Ganj and bought bedsheets. The next morning saw the owner/manager leaving in a car, I took the chance. After he left we went down and checked out because our deposit more than covered 1 night, we convinced the person at the desk, called the Rickshaw we had hired the evening before and left. That evening the owner called my phone and was so vulgar. He called me filthy names and other obscenities about my character, just because he was angry. What a way to run a business!

The rooms were ok for a night stay. But the best part is the location. Th owner was very helpful in terms of finding commute to McleodGanj. Dal is near-by. Hiring a scooty at Dharamshala will be a very good decision

This is not really a hotel. This not more than a lodge or guest house. However, it is priced at par with hotels. Bathrooms taps and flush was not working. Curtains were dirty. Bed sheets and blankets were dirty with holes in it. I cant figure out why i paid so much for those rooms. Shame on yatra for having this hotel on their list with that much price. Wont go for yatra in future. My mother was almost going to faint with around 100 stairs to reach the hotel

In continuation of below forwarded mail we want to attach photographs of family suit which was actually provided to us This hotel doesnt have any value for customer as the owner cum manager cum care taker is rude and arrogant retired IAS officer He charged 2400 Rs extra saying that we lost the keys of room. Fact is we handed over the keys to hotel staff so that he can transfer our luggage to new rooms. When we came back we found our bags was not transferred. Owner reported to that we broke door inorder to get luggage out but fact he hotel must have duplicate keys Fact is I have recording over phone conference between yatra staff me and hotel owner where hotel owner confirms that hotel management (Retd IAS Officer) arranged to break/unlock door keys Do not recommend this hotel for anyone. We were trapped We didnt check other sites for hotel reivews before booking this worthless hotel. Just checked review of this hotel here is the link Owner(Retd IAS officer) made a call to police and police busted him inturn as police is also disturbed by this guy. We paid 2400 extra just because hotel management has to break a desi lock which any key maker can open by spending 300-500 rs or 1000 at most I request to remove this hotel from its listing ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: ankit mishra <******> Date: Fri, Jul 3, 2015 at 11:28 PM Subject: Mail 2 Pics of alternate room provided to us To: Dear Service provider We booked ticket as per attached document and below forwarded mail 1)Hotel Phone is not working so they gave a Mobile number to call for all sort of room service 2)Hotel Room(family suit 4 bedded) which was provided to us at the time of booking was not uptodate and walls were sealing water toilets were not clean. When we informed the management they told talk to from where you booked tickets. Room photos and pictures were different. Sealing dripping wall was hidden by some cloth. 3)When we Dialled number to on 02 July around 4 PM hotel management provided 2 different rooms(4bedded room) after when management was confirmed that we will complain to about room condition and facilities 4)We told them that we are going out to Dharamshala for visit/sight seeing so shift our luggage to our new room. When we came back by 8:30 PM our luggage was not shifted to new room as management said they dont have keys to room or may be they lost keys to room. They dont know who took keys from locked door. We locked door from outside and left the keys in the outside of door 5)By 11 PM management got our luggage out of room via Windows. We were shocked to have such experience where someone can enter room and takeout luggage is room is locked. Room is still locked (11:12PM 03 July 2015) 6)We enquired what type of hotel it is when you dont even have duplicate keys. Keys are normal keys like lock and keys its not technical keys like Skoda Endevour keys which are stilt keys and hard to make neither its cylicndrical lock keys. Its just desi lock and key keys which goes in hole and opens the door. Anyhow management got our luggage shifted to our new room in very dramatic manner without opening doors from window 7)Hotel management being run by One person "retired IAS officer" who is manager owner and everything of that hotel claims to be very strict and punctual was very rude with us and totally ruined our Dharamshala stay 8)Hotel is not in Dharamshala. Its in Mc LedGanj. We dont have much problem with it but its not proper discription 9)When we asked to open the family suit (so that we can take photos and give to they never opened it as they say door is still locked still I am attaching photos of rest of the building and rooms provided to us by management as family suit(4 bedded) was leaking and not fit for use 10)Management is asking money Rs 3000 for keys and room change even thought we gave keys to management to shift our bags to new room which they misplaced. Management is not happy because we complained about room condition to and rooms provided pics is being sent to you in different mail pls check the room condition of different room provided to us. If possible we will take pics of Family suit (if they open it may be with duplicate/master key) We were up by 11PM and waited for our luggage and involved in all this drama instead of enjoying our stay our Dharamshala stay was ruined Attached is the card which they gave us to call for room service

Dear Friends I'm A travel Agent my guest fase many problem Worst place. Smelly rooms, pathetic beds and beddings. Unclean bathroom. Horrible food. no tv No locks in some rooms. Most importantly this place is unsafe for women. Will not recommend this to anyone. Beware! It is situated 5 kms away from main meclod gunj. You will end up spending 300 rs (each side) every time you travel to meclod gunj market.
