What I most appreciated about our stay at the Pink House is the grace and hospitality of the entire team. Their customer service is par excellent and it was indeed lovely being at this good hotel. Great value for the money indeed...
Well there were some renovation work going on in the hotel the time we visited so the access was not at all up to the mark. We had to get down some stairs to reach the hotel and they were in terrible conditions(continuous rains made it worse) There were no stairs virtually the way down, looked liked a trek itself.Anyways we got an apology letter from the management which was a nice gesture, and only after we risked some of bones getting down their main way twice, they told us that there is an alternate access to the hotel. Due to off season or whatever be the reason the service was not that up to the mark. We reached there at 7'o' clock in the morning from delhi, it was chilling and we asked for a heater , the receptionist said it could only be made available after 8. Room was good and balcony was perfect (great view of the mountains). There were no soaps in the bathroom, when asked, the standard answer was it could only be made available after 8. Food was good, we didn't get to dine at the rooftop cafe because it was raining cats and dogs, but I guess midst so many excellent options of food on the jogiwara road, you wouldn't want to waste your appetite dining in the pink house. The location was perfect, climb the stairs and you are on the main road. Bad weather and ongoing renovation made our stay sour, but still I think they could have done a better job.

The rooms were clean and spacious. This place is definitely only recommended for those on a budget and backpacking. The views are amazing though. The downside, however, was that the tour guide (for the nearby mountain) we booked via the hotel was a horrible guide. The guide listened to his music the entire journey up the mountain and hardly spoke to us. Then when we wanted to descend, he was nowhere to be found. Turns out he had already left. Was a complete rip-off and overpriced.
we book hotel for jain food , but not available , worst step when raining, no parking and many more Book this hotel only if you are fit and you do not mind climbing 120 stairs. If you have Problem in Climbing Stairs then DO NOT BOOK this hotel. This hotel does not have a car parking so if you are driving or taking your Car then DO NOT BOOK this hotel. There is no place to park outside the hotel or on the road in front of the hotel. Only place where you have to park is the Mcleodganj car parking, near the mall road. Also, it is difficult to find the hotel. There is a narrow steep road where it is difficult to stop your car to get in or get off the car with luggage.
Not For All But for the Selected Few Who Travels Without any doubt Pink House Suite 1 & 2 Offers youre the best View of Dhauldhar range of Mountains. We stayed in S1 family room and shared the full terrace with another 3 foreigners. It was like a Paradise of your own. Sit there as long as you want and stare the Himalaya. Order tea coffee just calling them downstairs or waving hands ( as Kitchen is quite visible from there ) Rooms are clean, You get Hot Water extra Soft Blankets, Quilts. Sleep Quality is Good. Pros 5 Mins walk from Market Great Staff specially Kulwant , we had lots jokes fill fun time at reception. Arranged Triund Trek, Night stay there with Good Guide Arranged Bir Billing Paragliding for us with Cab Cons Stairs Lots of them. You need to get down 104 Stairs reach the base of Pink House. Then its 20 Stairs up to reach the reception. And from there 40 more stairs to reach the Top Floor So its not for old aged people or someone who is not so fit but they have mentioned that clearly in their site. Simply You would love the Hospitality.
Pink House is a fun place to stay - well decorated and colourful, though a little hard to find. The stairs leading to the hotel makes a great workout ;) Clean spacious rooms, great breakfast and helpful staff makes this hotel a standout. Highly recommended.
Positive side: The management and the staff are very good and would go a long way to make your stay comfortable. When we had difficulty in finding the hotel they had sent staff to the main square to meet us and carry our luggage. We had to change the hotel because one of the member in our 4 person group had limitations in climbing stairs. The management spoke with another hotel and shifted our luggage to the other hotel, which we highly appreciated. Limitations: Book this hotel only if you are fit and you do not mind climbing 120 stairs. And then even if you find the stairs and locate the hotel it is very difficult to find the reception. I was surprised as there were no signs for the reception and you have to climb to the top floor to find the reception. Which means you climb down 120 steps to reach the hotel then climb 3 storey to the reception and then again climb down to your room. So if you are in mood for trekking please go ahead and book a room here. I had booked a delux room and was surprised to see that the TV had been removed as it was not working. Also, the bathroom fittings were loose and WC seat was not screwed properly. The wifi was not working in the room.
