The picture of the hotel on The and the actual accommodation on the net vary. The approach to the resort is terrible to say the least. There is no adequate moving space within the room house flies and mosquitoes add to a worsened situation the management unapologetic about the customers woes. In all,not a hotel to be recommended
Our choice of room was bad. We took a Cottage and it was very very basic. It had no space to keep anything at all. We ended up keeping our mobiles, wallets as well in the bag. There was no restaurant either, which was a big minus point. Everything was based on Room Service. If you order Room service, then again we had a problem figuring out where to keep the order and where to eat. The cottage had a garden below, which was converted to a kabadkhana and was a big eyesore. There were no views to the beautiful valley, which were available from some of the other room options. On the check-out day, we were also shocked to find out that there was no water available and it was a terror morning trying to fix things.. A call to the reception at 6-45 AM yielded no answer for about 16-18 rings. Then I called from just outside the room, which was supposedly for their internal staff. They picked up the phone instantly and I was told that they are not in duty hours yet, so they do not pick up phones. Supposedly this was caused due to some ignorance from someone. The problem was fixed in about 30 mins. Bathrooms were also very basic and the WC did not have the connections at the right place, so was very awkward. If you went for a bath, the water also took a lot of time to drain, so was a bit uncomfortable as well. We had food at the hotel only twice, but did not enjoy the experience much.

Well, if you wanna stay in a quiet ok room not to far from Mc Leodganj, then Pong View is not a bad option. Like most of hotels in India, service is more or less. The room was good but the airconditionning was only working for cold... so the nights were long. A little expensive too, in Mc Leodganj there are many hotels for cheeper but they wont have the same beds !
About 10 min walk from the main market area. Ample space for parking. Decent size rooms, a section of the hotel is a bit old though. We had a free booking hence ended up getting a room in the old section. Service is average.
It offers entire valley view, from premium rooms, recently modified rooms are specious neat and clean, we stayed for 2 days and we r happy with the service, food was very testy overall i would recommend this hotel for couples
Pong view means Valley view, it does offer a view of the entire valley. Stands at a lonely place mid-way between Dharamshala and Mcleod Ganj. The St. John's church is only 3 km away. Service is average, but the rooms are carpeted and cozy. Dining & parking available.
