We had been to Digha first time and booked AC Delux Double Bed Room for 3 nights. Room was spacious. It has a small balcony although view from there is not worthy to mention. Toilet was clean. New Digha beach was at walking distance and one has to pass through the market having various shops and commodities, which normally the tourists look for. We bought raw kaju at damn cheap price. Beach was really long and plain. After noon through evening one can enjoy the beach like some festivity. Coconut water along with malai in it was our evening snacks. The road along the bank stretching upto Tajpur having benches to sit is very good. One can sit and enjoy the dancing moon over the splashing waves once and again. Morning was beautiful to watch the sunrise and the fishermen winding up the fishing net to gather the variety of fish. To tell you about the fish, one must visit Mohana where situated the whole- sale market of fish and transaction goes on by auction. Of course, they offer the tourist to buy as retail buyer too. Regarding food at Digha, there are plenty of hotel and restaurants. But, we preferred food at our hotel. They prepared delicious food which was less spicy but tasty. Bengali preparation of Aloo-posto and Sarshe ilish (Hilsha) were our favorite. Overall experience at Digha and the Hotel (being near by to Digha Railway station) having most of the amenities we look for was very good.
