We visited digha by car on 23dec 2016 with family. Previously we booked room at hotel amar digha for 2 days. As per tele confirmation they told that all the room are AC & well maintained. But unfortunately we found the AC is their but not in working condition. Then i spoke to the authority & she replied in occasional day they charge for AC room but not provided the AC.But when you see the tariff you get some non AC rooms also their list. As per food is concern are testy & reasonable. The room service is also very poor. You don't get any service after 11 pm. As discuss with their authorities they have some non ac room but in occasion they charge according to ac tariff..
Hotel is good and also have a quality restaurant.Staffs are helpful and their behaviour was also good.We stayed here for three days and spend good time in a homely atmosphere.This is located just nearby of sea beach of new digha.
This is the best hotel in new Digha.I visited this hotel in 2016 January.The best part is the food quality of the hotel .Is the very homely and fresh. This is the good budget hotel in all respect for the family package.
We booked one room with four beds. After arrived they told room was sold out and we have to adjust in a room with double beds. Horrible experience. Staffs including owner are too much rude and behave like mafia. Won't recommend anyone to stay.
Hotel Amar Digha(part of SAB Hotels Pvt. Ltd.)..nice place to stay. Pros: 1. They were able to accommodate a fairly big group of 11 with ease 2. The food was good & cooked nicely 3. The younger staff is polite, proactive & helpful 4. Good parking area 5. Room was good & spacious 6. The hotel is at a fairly good distance from the beach Cons: 1. The senior staff (incharges) over committee & under deliver. To the point that they would lie to make you feel good. if you ask to speak to a person you spoke to earlier to ask why things are not as committed, the standard reply is they are in a different hotel of our's or on leave or break 2. Room geaser water is supposed to be warm or hot as per the guests' need. In my room they best was luke warm, which can pose a challenge if you want a shower post a dip in the sea. In most rooms the geasers are for show..if you report this they would send someone to convince that it works & you don't know how to function it 3. Giving early morning tea requests at the restaurant is not enough, the same has to be separately relayed at the front desk for servicing. That's horrible! 4.The fire escape plan looks elaborate, but the doors leading to the exits remain locked! 5. The staff politely solicit tips! 6. I asked for an extra blanket & because it was late they sent a stinking, dusty old blanket. 7. The television reception is horrible 8. No fresh towels were provided for day two.
