2 days stay was an awesome experience. Very Friendly staff. Especially the owner Mr. Bhai Chavan. Very safe and close proximity to the beach. Tasty food Lunch / Dinner available at Rane's Hotel. Very good experience. 100% rating. Will visit again soon.
We travelled in a group of 20 people and stayed at Pahunchar on 24th of Nov to 25th of Nov 2015. The rooms were neat and very clean with very basic amenities. Mr Ramesh Shinde the owner was very helpful in every aspect. The beach is only 5 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel like most Hotels at Divegar do not have a restaurant but every other neighbouring household will cook meals at decent rates. The beach was super clean and deserted. The Water sport activities were the cheapest i have ever come across. We did 4 water sport activities and paragliding at Rs 750/- per head.If you are looking at a budget holiday with clean no frills accomadation then Pahunchar perfectly fits your bill. The Drive from Divegar Beach to Shrivardhan beach is the most scenic route that runs along the coastline and is not be missed.
I had stayed here in mar'15. two couple rooms. (non ac per room 1000) .. hotel is 500 mts from the beach. rooms will b clean with average bed quality. but these rooms are located adjacent to the dorm.. that night guess some college guys had come.. they created a lot of noise till late night. when i asked the hotel to ask them to be little less noisy.. hotel guys showed reluctance telling we dont ask for any such restrain before 12 night.. (That means if u r travelling with family this could be a negative factor and positive if u r going with guys to have a night out)
i had booked the rooms online through stayzilla. with partial pre payment and hotel guys called me atleast 10 times to check if i was coming.. that was irritating... guess if i had made full payment that would not have called.. i donno..
overall... not a bad deal considering the rates and cleanliness,..
I had been to Diveagar on 28-30 December, 2014. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I had checked with the hotel for availability of rooms and was fortunate to get the Family Room with Open Terrace (Room No. 4). Paid advance online for booking. I was bit skeptical about the room, but the family room was good with basic amenities (TV, Hot water geyser, etc.). This room is spacious than the couple rooms. It can accommodate 4-5 people with extra mattresses. There are total 7-8 rooms (2 dormitories, 4 couple rooms and 1 family room). They also have AC couple room. The hotel is good with lots of trees in the surrounding. You would love to stay. My family enjoyed the stay.
Coming to the location, this hotel is on the main road with ample open parking. The Diveagar beach is 5-7 minutes walkable distance from hotel. You can take your vehicle also on the beach. The hotel staff was polite and provided good service. The breakfast is complimentary. Overall the hotel is good for stay, offers value for money. As it was year end, i got the room at INR 2,000 per day + 300 (extra mattress). During off-season the rates would be low.
They have recently started food service, this service is run by another person, other than the hotel owners. They provide Lunch and Dinner on prior order, both veg and non-veg are served. We had chicken thali, which was tasty and spicey. The veg thali was also good.
Now coming to food, if you are a veggie, do try the Suhas Bapat Khanaval (Khanaval in Marathi - A mess where you are served food). The food is typical Brahmin style, not spicey but on sweeter side. The quality of food is good. It is unlimited. Do try the Ukadiche Modak, it is awesome. You need to place the order for your food 2-4 hours before, as they prepare the food only after orders are received. This system of placing orders 2-4 before is throughout where ever you go for lunch or dinner in Diveagar. For Non-veg, the food at Hotel Pahunchar was also good. There are many Khanavals in Diveagar for Non-veg/Veg food.
Diveagar is a nice place with good beach and spending some leisure time with family, economical on the pocket.
Hope this information helps you.
We visited Dive Agar on Good Friday holiday long weekend (18-20 April 2014) so most of the hotels were booked. Found this hotel on TripAdvisor and contacted there. Luckily rooms were available. We were 5, so booked 2 rooms. (We got Room 2 and 3 on first floor) For 3 people in one room we found rooms small. There are no AC rooms in this hotel. But hotel is relatively new so rooms are in good condition. Service is also good and prompt. They provided breakfast on request (poha and tea) which was in time served and also good. This hotel is 5 mins away from beach and 15 mins walkable distance from famous Golden Ganesha temple. You will find ample of eating options (Veg/Non-veg) for breakfast, lunch and dinner around this hotel.
Overall its a budget hotel with decent experience.
