My wife and I went to this hotel as we were do disgusted by a previous hotel's hygiene that we had to move. We checked out quite a number of hotels/guest houses along Tibet Road however Snow Lion fit our low budget and standard of cleanliness that we expected. We ended up with a box room (i.e. no windows) as it was half the price of the ones with window. We were OK with this as the room was super clean and well maintained. In this region it is hard from find a budget hotel for around 1000 rupees a night. We were glad we finally found one and pleasantly surprised to have wifi speed fast enough to skype with family back home.

The Hotel recently a group of Hotel and newly full renoveted and furnished, Management had deployed new trend and smaily, familier staff . It was a nice experience to stay in this hotel. I have read the review of Mr. Kaushik G and am really surprised. I was stuck in Zuluk and from there had called the hotel to get accommodation for 1 extra day. They immediately managed the room. The manager was a very nice lady. She even came to our room to know whether everything was in order or not. Next year also I am planning to stay there only. and hope Shouth Indian food will start in their Restourent. less

Worst Hotel Stayed in June 2016 Rooms are dirty, smelly and very bad in all terms. Beds are worst and dirty Dirty dirty everywhere Worst Restauant - Food was too bad to describe. Left hotel after 6 hours due to irritation. Worst Hotel Manager ever seen. The manager was a damager and worst man ever seen. Never visit this hotel Hotels like this should be kicked out of Gangtok as soon as possible.

It was a nice experience to stay in this hotel. I have read the review of Mr. Kaushik G and am really surprised. We have entered at the hotel at the time of 1.00 PM at afternoon with my family (2 senior citizens)... at the time of entering they have said that lift will be on work if there is no power cut off. After entering the room , we have found that both the room was big but wall / wooden interior was cracked & removed... given towel & pillow cover was very nasty even the curtain was not proper... there was no geyser in one room... after sometimes when the food & tea came, the utensils was pathetic & dirty.. we even didnt touch any food ... at 4 PM , when we have asked for the lift they said that its not operating (power was their)... at 5 PM , we have changed the hotel with the heavy rain & power cut... Hope u all imagine the experience i had ... as i had those pics of towel & pillow cover but i was requested by hotel guys to not give those photos ....
