NOT STAYED IN THIS HOTEL This review is for Hotel SheeSagar not for hotel Durvankur as Travel Guru changed my booking to this hotel, all of a sudden , Hotel Shree Sager : 3'rd class Hotel and very expensive also, not worth a bit of your money, If you like cockroaches and lizards in your room and Bathroom then this hotel is Ideal for you . Food was pathetic , AC not working, Intercom not working and last but not the least there was no geyser in Bathroom.

WRONG VENDOR First, we have been receiving updates and being asked for reviews on the WRONG hotel. The previous day to our travel, we were called up and told that due to a miscommunication, we were being asked to accomodate ourselves in Ratnagiri / Goa, as the hotel & travel guru had some miscommunication due to which we were told that our booking at hotel Durvankur stands cancelled and we can stay at the Hotel ALPHA at Ratnagiri. We were also offered cancellation and refund of our full fees which we refused as we had already spent about INR 3ooo/- on travel booking to and fro. Now for the hotel Alpha: It was just about as good as a lodge with a A/c and plastic chairs and a table. A double bed room actually meant two beds which forced my spouse and my 5 years old kid to sleep on one bed as the 2 beds had a gap in between. The service quality was average / below and we moved out one night prior to our booking being expired. Travel guru is yet to refund the INR 700/- difference between the cost at the hotel at Ganpatipule and Ratnagiri. Other than convinience, i dont think there is any reason for us to book a hotel online through travel guru.

Location of the hotel is very close to the temple and beach. Rooms a re very specious, but sparsely furnished. There was a double bed, two chairs, a teapoy and a build-in wardrobe. TV was ancient, without remote. I had to sit near it to select channels and volume. There was no way to select another channel without getting up from the seat. Most of the available channels were Marathi, with ahrdly any English news or movie channels. Room was airconditioned, but compared to the size of the room, capacity was not adequate. Despite setting the temperature to 18 degrees, there was not enough cooling. I had to use both fan as well as ac. Plus point was that I could keep the ac on even when I went out so that the room remained somewhat cooler than outside temperature. There was ample parking space in front of the hotel and separate arrangement for the driver, at no extra cost. Though general cleanliness of the room was tolerable, towels were not sparkling clean. They provided only bath towels and soap. Lucky I carried tooth paste on intution. I had booked two rooms. Only one hada commode, the other with Indian style toilet. The flush tank was not working. Had to pour plenty of water to maintain cleanliness. Plus point was that water supply was plentiful. Running hot and cold water was available. Attached to the hotel is a vegetarian restaurant. But food quality was not so good. But there are many eateries nearby. A store selling all sorts of product from coastal area was part of the hotel remises. Good products, including delicious Ratnagiri alphonso mangoes were sold. But it was a pity mangoes were out of stock. On the whole it was a good for value proposition living in the hotel.

We moved from Non-A/c room to A.c room since it was avaialble at extra cost. But A/c was not working all the time in night & there was frequent power failure. On Gen set, a/c was not working. Also TV shows were getting interupted due to frequent power failures & important TV channels like Star Plus, SAB TV channels were not available on their network. Also telephone was not working. We stayed at Room no. 110. When we moved from Non-A/c room to A/c room ( Room no.110). Room was not properly cleaned. After reminding hotel manageent 3 times, they have cleaned room next day. We have to go down to ask for room service. We have again high highlighted these points while settling the bill but there was no concern by hotel administrator. Will not prefere to stay next time there.

It was a great hotel. Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Food was tasty. Service was ok. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We have stayed in Hotel Durvankar during our November visit to Ganpatipule, we have intended to stay in MTDC Resort, but as it was season time and was full. Looking for the some decent hotel near to temple and beach, we have no choice except to stay here. Check in was not smooth, Person at reception is quite arrogant. After long discussion we get room. About Room:- Room was large and good with basic amenities. It was surprisingly clean (frankly we have not expected ). Mostly all rooms have Indian style toilet(Senior citizen may have problem and can please check it with them before check in). Pro- 1) Cleanliness 2) Near to temple around 0.4KM. Cons:- 1) Price is quite higher and not worth for it. If you did not get accommodation at MTDC Resort and want to stay near to temple for a day or two this option will be OK.

Visited Ganapatipule for religious purpose and stayed at Hotel Durvankur. Overall Enjoyed the stay . The hotel is mid to Low category hotel but comfortable and excellent for family. it is value for money in terms of stay , location and overall experience. Can improve on facilities, services and cleanliness.

great pure veg Maharashtrian food.. the old country side ambience and decent pricing.. proximity to temple.. Must Visit! Vada Pav and Maharashtrian Thali were my favourite! i think the restaurant is called Sadashiv

We booked through cleartrip during the long weekend for 2nd Oct. However the booking did not reached the hotel. Still they managed to provide a room even though they were full. Not that good but the AC was powerful. It is near to beach and temple.
