In a place like Ganpatipule, it is imperative to stay at a Good place as there is not much to do in the town itself. The Fern Courtyard fits the bill perfectly. It is a Well Maintained and a well made property. It is located 2 Km's from the main town and hence it is a little more serene albeit little farther away from the Beach. The staff is friendly and the service is efficient. As the staff is Local you may have to use hand gestures a little in case you don't know Marathi. Rooms are quite spacious and have all the basic amenities. Every room has an attached balcony also which provides scenic views of the sea and also the pool. The place has awesome and clean swimming pool. Also they have TT Table and Carrom Board. The gym and spa are not ready yet.

The fern courtyard is a very new hotel and therefore the furnishings, bathroom fittings and overall the room is in excellent condition. The view from the room is not that great, you get only a glimpse of the beach, but to be fair, they advertise the hotel as having a "bird's eye view of the beach", so I had partly expected that. What I did not like was the dining options. We had breakfast included in our package, but the breakfast did not have any choice at all. Just 2 items in the buffet apart from bread/butter and cornflakes. Secondly, even the restaurant menu was very limited and most of the items on the menu were unavailable. Being on the beachside, we expected fresh fish to be available but did not get to taste any. Overall its a good hotel and I would recommend it, just the dining facility needs improvement.

Away from Beach Away from Beach

by TravelEager on November 22, 2016

If being away from beach is OK for your beach holiday, turn to Fern GreenLeaf Resort. It has nice rooms and restaurant, albeit with limited choice menu on the platter. The pool is well maintained and worth spending some time with.

Excellent Stay...superb Ambience Excellent Stay...superb Ambience

After a long and tiring drive from Mumbai to GangaptiPhule, a comfortable stay at this resort is all you need to rejuvenate yourself. Located just on the highway, this resort has amazing view, nice & spacious rooms, neat washrooms and excellent food. Beach is just 2 km away and so is the temple. Staff is also very courteous. We were there only for 1 night but I wish we could extend our stay. Overall, we had a great experience. One tip for people travelling from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai - Do not follow the Google Maps blindly to reach this place otherwise you will land up in trouble, specially if you are travelling late evening or at night. Google may suggest certain diversions or short cuts on the route which can be very risky. So please do not leave the main highway, which is NH66 while driving to Ganpatiphule, till you reach the point from where you would be taking the State Highway. Do not entertain any short cuts.

Good property, serene environment Good property, serene environment

The property as well as hospitality is very good. It is located approx 2 km from Ganpatiphule on a hillside with limited view of sea. The property is well maintained with lots of greenery, a well maintained activity room, tennis & badminton court, gym etc. Swimming pool is good but not very well maintained I would say. There are a lot of beaches around ganpatiphule and we found most of the beaches empty/deserted. about place: since the place is part of konkan belt, its lots of greenery all around, the beaches are quiet & beautiful, the landscape is amazing with small villages with red hut type houses midst of coconut trees.

Good hotel with good food Good hotel with good food

Really enjoyed the food albeit slightly expensive. Great for both vegetarians and fish lovers. Had the suit booked which allowed for 2 TVs which works perfectly for my family best hotel in Ganpatipule if your traveling with elderly folks.

Not a Full-service Club Mahindra Resort Not a Full-service Club Mahindra Resort

by Manojontrip on November 7, 2016

We have driven from Mumbai to Ganpatipule during the long Diwali weekend, and trust me one needs a long weekend to recover from the drive. The drive is longish, about 8 hours + with 3 ghat sections to navigate. So if you have passengers who are not ghat-friendly, the drive can take longer. The roads are good in patches and quite a mess in many sections which is reason for a 8 hour drive. Though we were aware that The Green Leaf was an associate property of Club Mahindra we understood that as more of a commercial arrangement. But soon we realised that the service levels and customer engagement was like any 3 star resort. On several instances I had to settle with the response - Sir..this is an associate property! The food was decent, again there was nothing beyond a buffet diner and a restaurant 'konkan spice' which was open only for lunch. I could not see any bar/lounge section in the main building or near the pool (though there was some infrastructure for such events). Given the Diwali weekend, I was greatly disappointed that no events around Diwali theme was organised, except for a few lights and paper lanterns along the corridors. There was no kids engagement programs, though there is an activity zone with pool table, TT, carrom, gaming console, play pen. I dont remember meeting the Club Mahindra property manager, who would normally make sure to meet the guests atleast once during their stay.
