Pls never ever suggest this HOTEL to a FAMILY as BEDDING in the ROOMS are so HARD and you can't SIT on it for long time & SOFA in the ROOM has HARD CUSHIONS and you will feel like you are sitting on a ROCK BEDDING , my family had 3 Sleepless nights and on the last day only they gave me a SOFT BLANKET which they were to give on the very 1st day. TV not having proper channels and TV Remote also not given. ROOM Service is Below Average - Daily they took nearly 40 Minutes to deliver my BED TEA...the last day only they gave me a SOFT BLANKET which they were to give on the very 1st day. I am still amazed & unclear on how this Hotel has been rated as a 3 star property!!!! This is not a hotel but a shabby 1 BK apt converted to a hotel. Pathetic interiors & the hardest Mattress & dirty pillows adore the rooms. I had my FIRST cold water bath in my life. Thanks to this Hotel, since their solar system water pipe was not connected to the toilet in the room offered to me & it took full day of follow up with the so called Manager for changing the room.in my life. Stayed at Hotel Alor Grande at Candolim in Goa last December 2016 with my friends. Having stayed elsewhere in Goa, I would say Candolim is the place to stay if you are in Goa. The hotel is right there and unfortunately that's the only thing to write home about. Hotel is a complex of many 2-storied buildings. Basic amenities, though functional, wouldn't call it any attractive. Worst is the attitude of the staff. Unfriendly would be an understatement to it. We had paid more for a pool view, which we had to literally argue to get one after checking in. BTW, other rooms have a view of the opposite room/ balcony reminding one of Girgaum Chawls. Last but not least, breakfast that is included in the price, is something that you will be happier to miss!

I had booked for a pool facing room on MakeMyTrip. On check-in when we went to the room it was not pool facing. When I asked I got an extremely arrogant reply to check with MMT as they will give it only on availability. I kept telling them that I paid Rs 1000 more just for pool facing. After a few phone calls and retires, they gave us a pool facing room. Breakfast was below average and no variety at all. On the day of checkout, I was asked to vacate the room at sharp 10 Am. After asking for some time I got 30 mins more. But a hotel staff came to our room at 10 and did not want to move out of the room, until we vacate. This was literally like a criminal like treatment. They did not carry any of our bags to reception. Forgot to mention, when we were shifted from one room to other and after that when we stepped out for dinner, I deposited the keys at reception. When I stepped out, I was called back by the security staff to the reception and they again asked me for the keys of the old room. They should ask the staff who shifted us. This was very unprofessional. All in all, stay away from this property.

Very nice pool, clean, restaurants are OK, one of them with a buffet offer; staff kind and attentive. The resort is not well maintained, needs some restoration work. WiFi available only at the reception.

We were in a fix when 2 of our flights got delayed not only did it mean hiring extra vehicles but also a distinct possibility of missing dinner we were way way to late but thanks to the generosity of Mr ivo Azavedo GM of the resort..he not only had our transfers arranged but had a mini buffet at 2 in the morning arranged for us. ...incredible service..we salute you ivo sir..
