This place has the potential to be a lovely small hotel in Goa - well designed rooms, etc but it fails to capitalize on any of it. The service and house-keeping is terrible - they didn't clear dirty dishes 24 hours later and only when we called them did they do it. The bed-sheets were dirty and stained and the towels were dirty too. And Nine Bar next to it has music on 24/7 so it is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep. I would avoid at all costs

The hospitality service here is goa based which means don't expect much. But the resort is well constructed. The location is apt for party goers. The food is simple and nice. A bit over priced but you can make do with it. The rooms are cozy is comfy. If it fits ur budget then go for it. But this is goa so you have many more options too.

Casa Vagator is a delightful hotel which is beautifully maintained. The architecture of the property is Goan-Portuguese with single storey structures cascading down towards Vagator beach, which it opens onto directly. Being at the heart of Vagator, you are no more than a minutes walk from some of Goas finest restaurants and bars such as Thalassa and Antares. It is also a few minutes from the W hotel, where I would recommend taking in the sunset at the Rock Pool Bar. Although the architecture is classic, the spacious rooms are modern, luxurious and well equipped; and offer charming views of one of the two pristinely maintained swimming pools. The hotel's restaurant has a serene view of the beach and the Arabian Sea. We were served a delectable breakfast here by the hotel staff who are very warm and catered to our every need.

CASA VAGATOR- a hidden gem! I met SHIELA DHODY the owner of this beautiful property in November 2016, thanks to a friend( Tanya who was turning the youngest 50) and I know I will be eternally grateful to her in the years to come! I left this Hotel in Nov thinking to myself that if I were to come back to the North, this is where I'm going to stay! Shiela was so friendly and we found common friends immediately! It's a wonder how we had never met earlier in Delhi! The hotel is on a slope which eventually ends up on Vagator beach and the last few rooms have the luxury of walking right out of the property from their rooms and the beach is barely 70 metres away! The rooms are mostly all unique, very different and each with a character of their own! They come mostly in sets of 2( similar) and the hotel would be divided I would imagine in 4 distinct parts! The first with large rooms on the left of the reception for people who like to be close to the entrance- a little dark but rooms are large! Then there's a section of about 5 rooms on the first floor which overlook the Vagator beach- superb! Lots of light and a semi private balcony! As u go lower past the reception there is a block of rooms facing the upper pool which go up to a second level also! Each floor has one room! So a set of 3-Interesting! But the reason why I go back to Casa Vagator is the set of rooms( Villas 4-10) which surround a pool at the lowest part of the hotel closest to the beach! These rooms face a forest and just a deep ditch divides the pool with the forest- gorgeous! You feel it's your own little garden of paradise with all kinds of birds, dogs, cattle and pigs walking through to the beach! Rooms 5-10 form their own little coterie and if you are 6/7 couples this is the ideal area for your gang! The other lovely area of the Hotel is the DECK where u have your daily breakfast served by the most friendly staff ( like DEVDAS/ RAHUL/ JOHNY or SAMEER)! Here is where you can also do your yoga in the morning as there are multiple decks at different levels - separate yet connected just by subtle level differences! You can plan your own lunch here cooked by the hotel chef( an absolute MUST) and while on the topic a special mention for CHEF MOHAN who was superb! He cooked 2 meals for us- one for 40 people and one for 10 - Goan and North Indian and both were the best we'd eaten in Goa! Kudos to him- worth his weight in gold! You can build a hotel but it's real success is in how it's run! Shiela personally sees to every detail and her great personality comes through her staff! Every person working at Casa Vagator exudes warmth, a friendly nature that can't be drilled through training- it's just the staff she chooses! I would go back for them and their welcome each morning at breakfast! The word NO does not exist in the Casa Vagator training manual and it shows in the staff! Right from the moment you book a room/ rooms to the time you leave- you're a Star guest! May it be DHARMENDRA at the booking office, RICHARD/ ABHISHEK/ ARYA/ RAJNI at the reception or helping you organise a dinner, a small party, your transfer or card to take you somewhere, they are always on the ball!! Superb and will be back! Meanwhile thank you ALL for a fabulous stay and for all the 'extras' you all did for us and allowed us to do- we felt absolutely at home

A small hotel with a fantastic scenic view and access to Vagator beach, operated in a very unprofessional manner. We arrived and the room was unprepared. No toiletries. No towels. No tea bags or coffee sachets in the tea/coffee maker. No plug point to connect the kettle. The water heater barely delivers a bucket of hot water before running cold. No cellular signal within the room. Barely receiving outside the room. No wi-fi within the room. The satellite box subscription was not refilled. Had to call the staff who changed to box to another which was filled. Kitchen opens only at 8:30am and closes by 9:30pm. If you feel hungry in the night, you are in trouble. Staff is trying, but is de-motivated. Ownership appears to be wasting a fantastic view and access to the beach and sea front. Food is decent to good. Room size is good. Bath fittings are decent. There is a bar just outside the hotel entrance that plays extremely loud thumping electronic dance music all evening. The sound permeates all the way inside the room. The hotel demands luxury prices for its rooms, but delivers less than a measly guest-house experience. Thoroughly avoidable till the management of this hotel changes.
