Every year this Resort changes in some way, small things that make your stay even better, new showers, beds and subtle changes. But is is the Management in Lynn and Nello and their staff who make it such a great place to relax and enjoy your stay. I was unfortunate this year: I had a bit of a problem with my heart, which necessitated a stay in the ICU of a local hospital. Lynn fixed everything for us, taxis, food, you name it - she couldn't do enough for us. I just say this to emphasis the caring aspect of running an hotel, and the personal attention that is paid to everyone. Apart from that, the rooms are excellent with air conditioning, the beds are comfortable, the water hot and plentiful! The food is very well prepared and served by cheerful and helpful staff, the choice of drinks is plentiful, and there is always lots of ice. I cannot find enough words to describe how I feel about this establishment! It is just great: and with Joets restaurant only 500yds away on the beach what more can I say? All is VERY tickety-boo, and I thank you Lynn and Nello once again for your help and friendship! May this help to bring yet more multiple visit clients!
After an absolutely chaotic time in the North of India, it was wonderful to slip into the relaxing Goa way of life and Coconut Creek certainly helped us ease the pace. Such a pleasant little place and the staff were very hospitable. Nice room, good breakfast, beautiful surroundings and the jewel on top - Joosts on the beach for dinner which was an absolute pleasure with pleasant piped music followed later by a one man band playing quietly in the background. Sitting on Bogmalo Beach as the sun goes down with all the locals enjoying themselves (down to the dogs and a couple of cows!) was really memorable. There were a couple of small glitches - we were put in the wrong room at first and had a bit of difficulty securing a car to Goa - but these were minor and overall Mr.Nello and his team are doing an awesome job - would love to come back for longer next time!
We chose to stay two nights before leaving Goa - its a beautiful place, perfect for the airport. the swimming pool was lovely, staff were very friendly, a beautiful room and grounds, food was good (but not brilliant!),included breakfast buffet was very good.
Two bad points however - I asked to check our bill on check out and a meal was on there we didn't have from a 'partner' restaurant on the beach of about 1,100 ruppees, and a starter we ordered from their restaurant that they didn;t have, but was still on our bill. So please ask for an itemised bill.
Also, we asked for a wake up call for 4:45am to meet our cab at 5am, but they called us at 5am - luckily we set alarms as well. they didn't apologise for calling late! so that was a bad end to an otherwise lovely stay.
I didnt get it at first, but now I do! Why Coconut Creek Resort is full of repeat guests that come year after year.
Theres a lot to like about the place. The rooms are spacious and the layout is conducive to the eye. You have your own space outside and you very quickly relax. Having the sister property on the beach is a real bonus (Joets Guest House). The food in both locations is nothing short of excellent. The hotel is supposedly three star and in some ways you see why. The rooms could possibly do with an update sooner rather than later and we found the mattresses very firm. However, you have everything you need. If not more! Each night you find a little gift in your room which is a wonderful touch. You are near the airport theres no escaping that and the military do like to practice with their jets but its a very small price to pay.
The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. Thankfully we only had one selfish couple that insisted on placing their towels on beds, so there was always a good choice. You also have your own patio and chairs by your room.
But what really makes this Resort and the sister property five star are the staff and the owners. You quickly become one of the family and their attentiveness is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble they get it done - in some cases before you even realise you need it!
Will I return? Yes, I would think so. For winter sunshine at a very reasonable price providing excellent food and company it cannot be beaten. I like to try new places but in this instance Ill make an exception. To Lyn & Nello and all the fabulous staff at Coconut Creek and Joets, thank you!
Just retuned after a cheeky week for new year, this is a family run business that also owns the beach front property called joets bar & restaurant. The resort is 10 duplex detached villas based around a nice pool area. The web photos do not do this place justice. The resorts would appear to get many return guests. The Joel's guest house is on the beach & offers good food at good honest prices & is run like a pub. The main resort also offers excellent food at slightly higher prices however is a bit more exclusive.
The rooms are adequate in size and offer all the usual facilities although they may need a small revamp ( I'm sure this is on the owners to do list ) as everything else is fine.
The sun beds are the best I've seen and the staff are fairly good. This is a relaxed place so don't expect Sandy Lane attention. The owners & the team try very hard to ensure your stay is trouble & worry free. No normal request is refused and they are very helpful if you want to sight see. Book direct with the resort through there web site as this will save you a few pounds ( I booked through a well known online engine & had my trousers pulled down I feel ) my friends booked direct & saved a small fourtune you have been warned.
Apart from the Indian visa process this place is well worth the trip enjoy
