Quiet and well-appointed piece of paradise in Goa Quiet and well-appointed piece of paradise in Goa

by Allison W on December 18, 2016

Stayed here for 5 nights in Dec 2016. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Goa Diving centre (see my other review for dive info). Overall excellent experience. Pros: - Location : literally 20mins from the airport, which was awesome after a very long flight! Free transfer was greatly appreciated. - Beach: Bogmalo is a quiet, quaint little beach that is really nice! Not a lot of tourists where we were there, which was surprising since it was the beginning of high season. Added bonus. Water was clean and good for swimming. It is a 3 minute walk from the hotel to the beach down a little path. - Hotel: everything was clean and as expected. The pool was so nice to lounge at, loved it! -"Joets" is a beachside bar owned by the same people of the hotel, spent a lot of time eating and drinking here. You can charge to your Coconut Creek room, which was very convenient. Good prices and great food. Cons: - hotel: wasn't an issue per se but was more or a peculiarity- the hotel staff often went in our room, seems like each time that we weren't there. We had no issue, just found it a bit odd at the frequency of staff in the room. One other pet peeve is the shrill ring tone of the hotel's phones - they ring all day, and the piercing sound jars you out of your tranquil lunch/pool/zen moment. Restaurant was ok, much prefer joets based on location, better price and taste. Overall a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

A peaceful hotel near the beach A peaceful hotel near the beach

by MiettinenA on December 8, 2016

This is a really nice and an extremely peaceful hotel. Very occacionally one can hear noise from the airport nearby, but I was totally surprised as there was much less noice than expected regarding to the location near the airport (and one can reach the airport in 15 min and the centre of Vasco de Gama in 20 min). The only minus is the lack of the pool for children.

A Real Find! A Real Find!

by Tarakan1917 on December 6, 2016

We were recommended this hotel by a friend who had stayed there on several previous occasions. The setting is of ten, two-storey chalets around a swimming pool, thus making twenty rooms in all. Our room was on the ground floor of one such chalet and consisted of a main bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The air-conditioning was very efficient with the power to get the inside temperature down to a chilly 16 C. Hot water for washing and showers was freely available and the rooms were serviced daily with clean towels, bed-making and turndown by the very friendly and efficient staff. The reception area, restaurant and bar are built on a slope overlooking the pool area and is reached by climbing (not onerously) via various intermediate levels on steps made of the characteristic, red, volcanic rock. The restaurant and bar are open at the sides which gives an airy feel to the areas - a good idea in this climate. The breakfasts provide a choice of Indian, Goan and European dishes and the lunch and dinner menus provide a similar choice. A one hundred yard walk along a path from the hotel grounds towards the beach brings you to a beach-side restaurant, which is owned by the same family as the hotel. Meals taken at the restaurant can be conveniently booked to your hotel account. The high standard of this hotel is exemplified by the very well-organised, efficient, helpful and friendly staff, who keep the rooms and grounds clean, well-serviced and who provide a very friendly and attentive service in the bar and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

by Des M on October 9, 2016

Spent 3 glorious days here. The resort is beautiful , villas amongst the coconut palms, well manicured gardens, lagoon pool , a tropical paradise. The service was very good very helpful and friendly staff . Restaurant very good, also spent a lot of time at joets (sister property) overlooking the beach , great food, great ambience.good place to relax would recommend without hesitation and hope to be back in the near future.

Peace, tranquility and blissfulness Peace, tranquility and blissfulness

by Lovneesh U on September 25, 2016

We stayed here for two nights and it was an absolute amazing time with utmost peace and blissfulness even though this place is near the airport( but you won't feel the airport at all). It is adjoining to the beautiful Bogmalo beach which is 5 minutes walk and easily accessible though a beautiful back track maintained by the resort. The place has a wonderfully maintained swimming pool under the coconut trees. Joet's cafe on the beach is icing on the cake for your late night drinks and food by the beach. Rooms are huge and very well done with all the amenities. The only thing which needs some improvement is the wifi and spa service. Wifi connection was not constant and that too with very less speed. I have been to spas in many resorts and feel spa was just ok given people relaxing in such a beautiful place needs a wonderful spa and massage services. Overall, I loved every second of my stay here and actually regretted speeding more time elsewhere during our Goa trip rather than some more time here. I would love to comeback here
