Arrived one hour earlier but room was allotted within few minutes . Room was not that big but was clean and had a nice pool view . Food was good. Checkout was hassle free. Restaurant is expensive. Nice location . Just 500 m away from the beach and around 200-250m away from the main road.
Hotel Situation - about a 3/4 min walk from the main beach road. This hotel is set back from the hustle & bustle. The hotel once reached, is impressive, but sadly the land / road surrounding the hotel is littered with rubbish. Things would be a lot more impressive if the area was tidied up. Cars & bikes also fly at speed down this road & it dangerous. I'd love for the hotel to install speed bumps to keep speeds down. This would be beneficial to their guests safety. Once through the gates, reception is up a fairly steep slope. Disabled / elderly guests may find this difficult if not sure footed. Reception Staff - Staff are mostly friendly & pleasant although I found them to be slightly hit & miss depending on who you approached. Some came across slightly off, whilst others such as Vikas were a delight. He went above & beyond in helping us on more than one occasion. Restaurant Staff - all friendly & attentive. Couldn't be happier to help you. Restaurant Food - breakfast was good. Indian selection as expected but for those from the U.K. cereal is available. As is beans, tomatoes, bacon, chicken sausages, sauteed potatoes, boiled eggs, toast, fresh fruit & yogurt. There is also an egg cook who will make you any kind of eggs you wish. Evening meal was also of a high standard. Food was tasty & well presented. However pretty much all the food is Indian. We only ate in one night as restaurants are situated very near & prices are cheap. The Pool - The pool is great. It's a good size & there are plenty of sun beds. Pool towels are provided & the 2 pool boys are great. Pool Bar - staff here could be more attentive. Often we found no one there & one day from sitting down, it took 45 minutes to get our order of 2 apple pies. Hotel Rooms - our room was a deluxe pool view. It was ample is size with a great bathroom & balcony. The bed is massive. Sockets are fantastic & plentiful. They have both U.K & 2 pin sockets so if traveling from England, don't worry about adapters. The only down side to our room was that we found the wardrobe to be quite small & the only 3 draws are the bedside tables & 1 small one in the wardrobe. More draws would be a help. You also only get a few hangers in the wardrobe so I suggest travel hangers. Bottled water is provided everyday & there is a safe in each room. Near the door are 2 lights switches. 1 to illuminate the do not disturb & 1 to let housekeeping know to call. Air con worked great & kept the room cool. There is also an over head fan above the bed. The TV is slightly confusing as there are 2 controls. We called reception to send help in putting in on. Pay attention to what he does, after that you should be fine. House Keeping - house keeping staff are young makes & whilst the room was left clean we often had to ring for more towels as only 2 had been left. Towels also need refreshing. Daily towels had small holes or rips in them. Hotel Gardens - these are beautiful & well kept by the man & woman that work hard daily. Flowers arrangements are impressive & the petal bowls near the reception doors are stunning. Gardens are clean & tidy & well maintained. Problems - Upon checking in we discovered that we had been allocated a double room. We had booked & our paper work stated a twin room as I was travelling with my Dad. We were told bluntly that no twin room was available & staff at the time (2am) didn't seem willing to help. It was only after 4 days into our 10 day stay, that we got a phone call saying a twin room was available. In Conclusion - overall we enjoyed our stay & would be happy to stay here again. A few small improvements would have made this a perfect stay, but sadly the issue over the room put a dampener on things for us.
Would definitely return. Not sure about 3 people sharing a room but for 2 - great. Issues with the 3rd bed being a fold up rather than a proper one. Not really suitable for our special needs son. Hotel did try to solve the problem but still wouldn't recommend for 3 adults.
A well placed hotel away from the main road, so quieter. My mum and I stayed for a week and overall it was a great experience. The staff are wonderful, courteous and helpful, especially the restaurant staff, who go out of their way to ensure that all your needs are met. A special thank you to Pradhan, Sudheer, Shiv, Krushna, Surendra, Sourik and Abhijit. The food is buffet style, varied and plentiful, as well as being of a very good standard - a talented team of chefs! We stayed on a half board basis, so included both breakfast and evening dinner.
Thank you also to Sayan who dealt with our stay.
Although a relatively small pool, it is well maintained.
The rooms do require some updating, however they are quite comfortable and spacious. The ensuite shower room probably most in need of an update, and the air con is okay, although a little noisy.
The beach is approximately 15 mins walk away.
A perfect rest-bite for people looking to be away from the main hustle and bustle of the road at a very pleasant hotel, where the staff make your stay a memorable one.
