Edem Garden

This is not even a hotel, it's a poorly furnished house disguised as a hotel. A family doubles as hotel management, hence no hotel ethics but lot of rude behavior. View - Poor. Don't be fooled by the posted images, it's all PR. Amenities - Very Poor. Rooms lack even basic amenities like table & chair, bed side table etc. It's basically a double bed in a small room. TV was non functional for my entire stay & staff vehemently rude about repairing it. Bathrooms are filthy & not cleaned regularly even on request. Service - Very Rude. Since the family runs the hotel, hotel ethics & professional approach are totally absent. Complete staff is self styled & don't even pay basic courtesies. The behaviour of staff hits u like a shock. Room deliveries are non existent. Staff is often seen befooling the foreign guests & charges them significantly more than market price for everything. Hence, they give priority in serving the foreign guests.

GPS took us to the beach shack which is NOT the actual hotel. The hotel is about 200m inland from the beach. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome. The room is fully equipped, including a small fridge, but no TV. You honestly don't miss the TV anyway. The pool is fantastic! After a long hot day of touristing it's complete bliss to plop into the pool. I loved my stay here.
