Highly Unprofessional and Fraud TravelGuru I travelled to Goa last week with couple of friends and I had booked a room through TravelGuru. I wanted to book a room with Ginger Hotel at Punjim but I was suggested another Hotel called Ginger Tree Beach Resort and was clearly lied to about the hotel saying it is owned by the same Tata Management and is a part of the Ginger Chain of Hotels; not to mention it had nothing to do with the reality. The room was extraordinarily small to accommodate even two people, forget one extra bed. It had a horrible stink of some Pest Control done by the hotel. I got a throat infection immediately due to that pungent killing smell. When tried to get this sorted out with so called Customer Care Executives of TravelGuru I had another horrible experience. I had to call them a dozen of times and had to be on hold every single time to eternity while stranded in the lobby area after a 12 hour hectic drive. I spoke to someone else every time I called as the same person was never available again. None of them kept their words; never did what they promised and at the end they NEVER SOLVED my problem, never cared to call back. I am terribly disappointed. I strongly suggest all of you who are thinking to book a holiday through TravelGuru to immediately cancel any such plan. They are cheats and are absolutely unprofessional people. The hotel people on the other hand provided us a bigger and better room on their own and cooperated pretty well later but TravelGuru never bothered to even know what happened with my case. Useless and shameless people... Fraud management. Keep away from TravelGuru...!

Hotel is located at around 1.5 kms from main Candolim beach, if you are going by the main road so it’s not easily walkable from the beach.They provide free pickup and drop for Candolim beach ( timings 9AM to 6PM)which depends on availability of car and it might involve waiting time.There is no markets or shops around hotel. You need to walk for 10 minutes to be at the main road. Hotel building is in excellent condition and is well maintainance. Food (both veg. and non-veg) was good. Room service staff was efficient but lacked co-ordination at times. I had to remind them 2-3 times on some occasions for certain things. They have small play area for kids where our two year old kids enjoyed a lot. Staff at reception was well mannered and helpful. Swimming pool was nice and big enough .Only let down was travelling from hotel. When u ask for a taxi or activa from the hotel, they leave you at the mercy of Taxi union outside where people are not the most customer friendly. There is no fixed or standard rates.In fact rates are quite higher then market rates. One has to deal with 3-4 union people at a time for bargaining who are rude and who can spoil your mood. They take advantage of lack of information of guests. Fortunately our driver amongst them turned out to be a nice person and guided us nicely during our stay. Hotel should improve their travel services. Overall, I had a great time at the resort.

The staff was courtesious and the rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel lobby was not sufficiently lighted and having lot of mosquitos. Overall a little better than the average hotel.

locations: surroundings at the hotel is not pleasing with just small pool to have look at..quite faraway from the main road and the beaches and market....smokers u might have to put ur legs at work to get one.. price: i thing if u research and plan in advance u will get 1000 better options then this comfort: do not expect one from this hotel, not even from the mattress these ppl have... hospitality: dont bother to expect from anyone except mrs. fathima...pls pls pls ensure u do have your checkout done exactly at 10.00am ...if u 10.05am they will catch u even from ur bathroom... overall: wastage of money

Demo Trip no rooms are good ..just try your luck

Demo Trip I dont know about the facing of the room but little bit of greenery for balconies. A/c is 1 ton this is not sufficient for cooking.
