It's been years I am coming goa and I have tried almost most of the hotels and resorts in north goa but this time w came across this beautiful Novotel resort and spa. We have been to this resort with kids on our anniversary. They have upgraded us for junior suite and it was a good gesture by the lady on Front desk (forgot her name ) Very good experience of spa Food is also nice , very happy with the break fast buffet spread & specially with service. Pool area and pool is very beautiful with good vibes. For Kids play area , kidspool , pool activity , games and sports activity etc make them more happy and occupied. In room dining experience was very good. Over all very good experience. Must visit place for the family.

Guys firstly I would say read my other reviews .. I am fair and honest. But everything is in perspective. I rated a hotel in Navsari a star higher and it was barely a 3 * hotel. This is supposed to be a 5 * Im not saying the one in Navsari was better, far from it, but the perspective is I paid 6 times more per night for the Novatel. Its got a nice lobby..lovely pool and sunken bar.. and let me hasten to add, wonderfully attentive service staff, waiters, cleaners ect.. shame the higher members of staff couldnt learn from them. Right here we go.. Checked in.. check in staff ..no smiles just another guest to them Arrived in the room, it looked tired for 5 star.. balcony furniture old with stained tables.. rusting metal supports. Scuffed unpolished floors and more.. Called reception asked why no toiletries except soap, they said they will sort.. it wasnt. Following morning I ask for toiletries again, they said they will sort.. they didnt. It was when I caught a cleaner who gladly gave me what I needed including slippers!! and they explained to me that these are items that needed to be requested, in a 5 star they should be there and no where on thier web site does it explain items must be requested and even though I did, they still didnt turn up for 2 days. AND NO FACE TOWELS.. hmm Then my air con broke down.. they had to move me.. similar sort of room scuffed floors balcony over looking a roof and a plant pot.. no toiletries.. The pool area is lovely if you can get a sun bed.. very limited beds for the size of the hotel.. so be early or else you will be lying on the grass as I did. Spa was nice but extremely expensive.. buy an Elemenis facial get a free massage.. the facials were 70.. no wonder they dont put the prices on the in room advert. Food was.. bearable at that.. The hotel is extremely expensive for food and drinks.. I took a short walk into Candolim and had a full meal (better than the hotel food) and two vodka and cokes and it cost less than just the drinks at the hotel, now I dont mind paying more for convenience but that was ridiculous. Above all I never once felt 'at home' here or felt welcome.. I just felt like another number. I could go on, but even im getting bored and I know there is stuff ive missed. Im an international traveller and I appreciate cost to value in most cities Ive been in.. I know the Novatel brand.. I had never heard of the Taj hotel brand but I can say in comparison.. Novatel managers stay in a Taj hotel, thats what customer service is about.. And no I dont work for Taj! I will add photos shortly as for some reason Trip Advisor wont let me add them together. Think twice before booking.. you can get far better for far less locally.

Prior to arrival we emailed to hotel to advise our daughters seventh birthday would be on the 18th as well as our requirement for pick up at the airport. We did not get picked up and made our own way to the hotel - no big issue as we have been to Goa before however if this was someone's first time to India or Goa this could be quite daunting. On arrival to this hotel we were a little confused, it certainly did not have the entrance you would expect at a five star hotel, went down a back street and the actual hotel is amongst houses and a little tired looking. Check in: on arrival we got towels and a welcome drink (carton pineapple juice) We were also told that our daughter did not have a bed and we would need to pay 25 per night for them to make up a bed. Our first night was an absolute disaster - room 138 avoid it at all costs. It is the main through fare for the lift and all you hear all night is loud pinging noises and shouting of guests coming back very late (and I mean 2am late and through the night). We asked to be moved and this was no trouble for the hotel they did this swiftly and efficiently. The sunbeds are just useless, you slip down them as they have no ties and if they do they're broken, the most ridiculous sunbeds I've ever experienced - upgrade these to a standard that is in line with what 5 star hotels would usually provide. Food: breakfast was varied and a good egg bar for eggs how you want. Selection of fruit is very limited and you have to request fresh orange juice which took on average 35 minutes to arrive. Dinner, fair selection of food - we only dined in hotel three or four of our fourteen nights. Drinks: this is an area I really cannot understand - it was cheaper for us to go out, have a three course meal (including lobster), and drinks than one bottle of red wine in the hotel - and there's only one choice. All drinks are ridiculously priced which puts a bad taste in your mouth. We don't mind paying over the odds in a hotel but a local bottle of red wine costs just shy of 30. In the U.K. You can get a very good bottle of wine with your meal for less. Spa: great Elemis spa, I've heard people mention they thought this was expensive - I thought it was in line with other five star hotels and the service and facial I had were very good. There are cheaper ones in town but I doubt you would get the spa experience. There was a Nivea function when we were here and they did a lot of partying, the room next to us had four occupants in it and they were ringing the doorbell all night until I finally lost it at 1.44 and told them to shut up. The staff are friendly in the restaurant and on the day of my daughters birthday they made a real fuss of her, I requested balloons at the table etc and this was accommodated. The kids club was ok, my daughter could take it or leave it. Overall, this hotel is tired, it's at best a good three star and an ok four star - this is the worst five star hotel I have ever stayed in by far. There is no peace, throughout the night every night you are disturbed by something. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

I Have stayed at this property for 4 days and the property was good as I Hav expected.. the food was was good,the pool area and the people were friendly with smiling face and good vibes.. and lunjana she was really helpful. Planning to come next time and will stay again.

Demo Trip Since the hotel pickup service is expensive, you can get the pre-paid counter at the airport. It would be much cheaper.
