Lovely Stay Lovely Stay

by tobyHertfordshire on February 5, 2017

Arrived after a 16 hour train journey from Kerela. Found the reception area where we was told Karin the owner would be with us shortly. While waiting was not offered a drink. Finally Karin came and said she had been busy sorting out the rooms for her long time stayer returnee guests. And these were the only words she spoke to throughout our stay. Was not told any information about the guest house or the area. We were very pleased with our room looking out onto the nature area . The rooms are clean and plenty of space to put your things. The bathroom was clean and basic. And our truly wonderful neighbours the lovely Anna and Bruce, Who told us everything we needed to know where to eat. Supermarket exchange money etc. And the system in place at the guesthouse where you tick on the list in the bar area If you have breakfast and what drinks you have. Anna and Bruce were so welcoming. Can't thank them enough for their kindness especially when I fell and twisted my ankle. All the other guests who were returnees and long stayers were friendly. And said Karin was taking a back step in the running of the business which I can understand. But no excuse to ignore guests. The waiter/ all rounder Martin know as Ricky was fantastic . He was the one who looked after us and organised our trips and taxis and was more than helpful. He organised our boat trip with Jacks boats on the river Sal. Which was a good day out and included food and drink. A pleasant cruise across the beautiful landscape of rural Goa. We also hired cycles for the day and cycled along the beach to Salcete Majorda. There are resident pets dogs and cats we are animal lovers so not a problem to us. Loved the area Benaulim and would go again. We would stay at Heaven Goa guest house again as we managed to sort everything out. Would recommend to stay here.

A lovely stay A lovely stay

I stayed here for a few days as part of travel around Goa but many of the guests were staying more long-term. A lovely quiet place away from the tourist centre. Spotlessly clean rooms and friendly staff.

An aptly-named gem! An aptly-named gem!

The best guesthouse of our 2 week trip to Goa. Although we only found Benaulim and Heaven Goa in the second week both completely made our holiday. We stayed in the older of the 2 buildings initially in a non-aircon room. We did move to an aircon room after a few days so if you suffer with the heat do consider this as an option. The balcony overlooks a pond and paddy field where we spend countless hours watching the local wildlife coming and going with a sunset backdrop. The rooms are basic but charming and spotlessly clean, with bedside lamps, clothes storage and new mosquito nets. The bathrooms are also basic but clean. There is a beautiful, clean pool and staff will put out sun beds for guests to use. There is an attractive covered seating area by the pool where you can get morning coffee and breakfast. We were there before the start of the season and the guesthouse was being refurbished and restaurant facilities were being built. Free wifi is available although we did struggle to get it in our room. Prabodh and the staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful and accommodating - they booked taxis and offered to arrange delivery of meals if we so wanted. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away, but the location of the guesthouse is wonderfully quiet. There are some lovely and very friendly dogs at Heaven Goa who have the roam of the property. Our stay wasn't long enough and we will be booking again when we come back to Benaulim. We can't recommend this guest house highly enough!

We booked Heaven Goa Guesthouse for 3 nights in September. Guesthouse location is perfect for that traveler who is looking for peace. Rooms They have AC and Non-AC rooms. Room consist of nice mosquito Net for bed. Rooms are clean and hot water is available. They clean room on request basis. We stayed in Non-AC room in monsoon and it was perfect stay Food We only had breakfast in hotel and food was manageable. Guesthouse manager suggested us nice restaurant places to try the different food when we ask about it. Hotel Hotel consist of swimming pool and it is maintained properly with clean water. They also have garden and paddy field view from Non-AC rooms. The place have small parking space where 2 cars can be parked. If you are a pet friendly person then this is the best place to stay. They have 5 Dogs and 6-7 cat as a pet. We enjoyed our time playing with them in morning. Overall we enjoyed our stay and looking forward to staying again.

Another wonderful long stay holiday Another wonderful long stay holiday

by Northerners258 on April 26, 2016

Just completed a 14 week long stay holiday at HG and returned to the UK on 15 April 2016. As usual the place was clean and tidy and many of the regular guests also arrived during our stay. Karin has been doing her best to keep up the HG standards and has been successful in managing the guest house without the help of the wonderful Sunil.......since his passing. In order to make things even more comfortable for the guests, Karin has entered into an agreement with Prabodh from "Ice Cube" to provide meals at Heaven Goa for the guests. Prabodh and his team ( Raj and Habil) are going to build a new kitchen area for next season and will complete the bar area also. Prabodh wiill also manage the day to day affairs of running the rooms with Karin organising the bookings and keeping a overview of the situation. Before my wife and I left this season, we took several meals at Heaven Goa provided by Prabodh and cooked by Raj and I'm pleased to say they were excellent. We are really looking forward to next season when all work will be completed and the guests can look forward to good food and (as always) a well run guest house.

Demo Trip Ask to look out to the paddy field at the back.

by Eugenie P on March 10, 2015

Demo Trip Rooms are in two buildings, the one overlooking the lily pond has the best views, but only one room has AC. If AC is a need, chose the building facing the garden and pool, it is newer, but the view not as good. All the rooms very similar in size, no bad ones here.
