Myself and my wife , we stayed at the Laguna Anjuna for 2 Days the resort is designed very well although a little unkempt and untidy (maintenance equipment and materials lying around , roofs needing Tending and a few repairs , but with all this the Ambiance is definitely impressive, the Service is good ,Room interior , rustic (Going with the theme) but clean and well maintained, food is excellent, a must try if you desire a calm and quiet holiday in lush green surroundings.
Stayed here in September 2015. This resort stands out from all the rest in this category. One of the best swimming pools I've seen in Goa. The rooms (cottages) are very stylish and the en-suite bath is tastefully designed too. Their toiletries were sourced from natural ingredients - that, to me, was impressive! Loved their bar with pool table, the restaurant serves delicious Italian delicacies and Indian thalis. Rajesh, the manager, became a good friend and ensured I had a comfortable stay. Live music on Friday nights makes this place come alive! Definitely should be on your list if you want an authentic Goan villa experience!
When we booked this place online we quite sceptical about this place since August is monsoon month and lot of insects pop-up during this period. To our utter surprise we found this resort surpass our expectation. We took double bedroom where room were small but comfortable. We had a big common room where we can sit, relax and enjoy cool breeze. There was initial hicccup like no electricity for 10 mins (resolved by staff) and AC not working (main switch trip) but these were resolved quickly. Pool was good, however it seem that it was recently since we noticed our feet got blue with paint. One suggestion - they should well lit pool in night to give that magical effect. The breakfast was good and egg preparation was superb. Though sometime service took bit long. Overall we had a great experience here.
It has taken a long time for me write this review. I had very happy memories of this place from the last time i stayed here in 2008. The point is not a single penny has been invested in the property since then. After 8 long years - it needs immediate love and repair. The rooms are great as ever but the electrical switches are loose or broken - didn't feel safe for my kids. Every time we went in to the pool - we came out blue as the paint at the bottom has not be touched up in years. Too many broken bits around. The management couldn't stop some hunky men from Haryana in their underwear (shouldn't they be wearing swimming trunks) playing loud punjabi music by the pool with raunchiest of lyrics. We went their to chill but ended up getting very annoyed. The food is good - especially their pizza. And it is still the melting pot for the Goa heads - live music on Friday night but thats it!
This place is a hidden gem in Goa!! We stumbled upon it accidentally, and were amazed by the lush landscaping, old-world architecture, and hand crafted details in the rooms and common areas. Its obvious someone put a lot of effort into creating a unique style, which is what we love about boutique, non-chain hotels like this. The staff was amazing and attentive, with helpful tips on what to see and do off the beaten path, the food was fantastic (traditional Indian, or surprisingly authentic Italian).and there was even a live band on one of the nights. We could not have enjoyed our stay more...
