1. This hotel is good for people who wish to roam in Panaji city and the city center in nearby. 2. The Room was good. 3. The bathroom hand flush was leaking and we complained, but they did not bother to fix it. 3. The Buffet veg breakfast was nice, but service was very bad. They did not bother to refill the food items that were finished. We had to remind them. Also, food was always cold despite the burner available below the food pot. The supervisor was more busy chit chatting with the staff inside the cooking area than monitoring the food requirement and service to the customers. 4. They reset the room access card everyday at 12:00 noon and we had to rememeber to recharge it with the reception everyday which was incovenient.

I stayed in Marigold Hotel in Goa with my mother, for four nights and five days, in the beginning of December this year. I chose this hotel via travelguru website mainly because it said it was pure vegetarian. It was 3 star and within my budget. I corresponded with the hotel via emails inquiring about my booking. The hotel confirmed my booking and a few other emails were exchanged between us with funny little mistakes in emails from the hotel and lot of apologies later. Hence, initially I was apprehensive about my choice of hotel. However, when we checked in the hotel, to our surprise, after checking our booking, we were upgraded to a superior room, as we had paid full in advance. Then the GM, Mr. Nitin Kolhe himself came to greet us and accompany us to our room. Our room was an Elite Deluxe room on the 5th floor. It was neither too big nor too compact, was neat & clean and had all that we needed, mainly the LCD, A/c and a tea maker. The bathroom too was clean. To our relief, everything was functional and we had no qualms. But the best part was the view from the room. We could see river Mandovi, boat cruise, colourful bridges, a hilly region across the river where roof of the Secretariat House and a light house from Portuguese era were visible to name a few. So we were pleased with our room and simply ignored if anything else was lacking. The hotel's Tulip Restaurant had all the vegetarian varieties at very reasonable rates. And the food was really good with excellent service. The staff of the entire hotel was polite and ready to help at any time. As we had full three days to ourselves and had no plans, we asked the hotel to guide us as to what to see. Again the GM was very helpful and advised us to go for a boat cruise that we could see from our room and was just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. For the next two days he booked us for city bus tours, one day for North Goa and for South Goa on the other day. The buses picked and dropped us right at the hotel. For the third day we took a taxi and saw all that was not covered by the city tour buses. So, in these three days, with the good arrangement by the hotel, we saw almost everything that was to be seen in Goa that includes a few beaches, churches, temples, spice garden, an old Portuguese house, fort etc. So, overall I can say that we had a wonderful experience in Goa, in the hotel and have sweet memories to cherish for our lives. However, I would still like to add that this hotel is for those who are in Goa to actually travel around and be back at hotel in the evening to relax comfortably.
