Homely Jes Guest House

This was possibly the best place I stayed in India in 3 months, it was clean (much much cleaner than many places), comfortable, and had all the facilities I wanted. A 10 mins walk to the be beach made it more affordable, and for me a much better location being peaceful and surrounded by palmtrees. Dominic, the owner was a great host.

we spent 17 nights here over Christmas and new year and it became our home. warm and friendly Dom was great always willing to help. the room was clean and tidy comfy bed a/c and a fan to keep us cool. the area is a little quaint but the beach is grand and some good restaurants. there is no ATM in the village or official currency exchange but Colva is a short ride and worth a visit. we would stay there again well recommended!

After turning up without a booking Dom was very accommodating and we stayed in a family room for 4 nights. Out teenage boys slept on the sofa bed as its large. Huge bed in a good sized room with a balcony. Room had fridge, A/C and kettle. Dom offered to clean our room for us whilst we were there. We didnt get any hot water whilst we were there but didnt mention it as it was so hot a cool shower was ok. Dom arranged our airport transfer for us as it was 1:30 am which was a great help as we were worried it wouldnt turn up. Dom said we could wake him if it didnt turn up which was reassuring. Good position for restaurants, beach and shops.

I really recommend this place! The host is very helpfull and kind, he really want the guest the best. Good value for the money and not very far to the beach, its just took 10 min to walk (our fourth beach in Goa, and I think that this beach was the best, clear blue water, white sand, good restaurants, and not too many propeller), Great beds, warm water in the shower and it was nice with a balcony. If were coming back to Goa in the future is this the place for us to go to!

This place is on the main road to the Majorda beach which is like 750 m away. We had booked 4 out of the 5 rooms; 2 rooms were big and can easily fit in an entire family of 4 with extra bedding. 2 were were medium size rooms. Almost all rooms have balconies which is quite useful for a sit out and relax. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were decent. This is a Homestay and not a typical hotel. The place has a very warm and cosy feeling to it. We were 4 families with kids and everyone of us had a great time here. You will have to arrange for your own meals, including tea and coffee. There is a kettle in the room which you can use. The nearest breakfast option is 250 metres away and it opens up as early as 7 am. There are few restaurants around this place. Although I would recommend that you have a bike or a car with you if you need to access some of those. Dominic is a very responsive owner and he will try and accommodate your requests as much as he can. I have shared few feedbacks (hot water mainly) with him which he has taken note and I am sure he will take care of it. Overall Majorda is a very beautiful place.
