Only came here for a festival. Found it to be overpriced and the rules regarding drinks a bit ridiculous. Were forced to buy drinks vouchers instead of paying with cash, which is fine, although we were told the vouchers were valid for all three days - the next day when I tried to use my vouchers, I was told I had to buy new ones, with no refund on my vouchers from the previous day. Lost out on money because of this!
The stay was very comfortable and strongly recommend the property. Location is Excellent for those who need a peaceful getaway. Rooms were very clean and the royal suite cottages were good. A word of appreciation for the hospitality especially by ANJALI at the front desk. SAM [ FEBRUARY 2017 ]
Stayed for a night at Marbela Beach Resort and inspite of all the optimisation provided by Trip advisor, ended up getting the best price, for Marbela, through Agoda.com Morjim, where Marbela is located, is a good 100 mins drive from Airport. But the drive is worth it, since the Beach is excellent, water is clean and waves are calm. Marbela Beach Resort itself is a well maintained property, with manicured lawns spread out with tents and cottages. But apart from the accommodation that they offer, they seem to have to have got their act right in marketing it as as a very popular party place. The rooms are at the front end and middle of the resort and as one walks down through the resort, adjoining the beach, they have developed the party area with the bar and restaurant, dance floor, cabanas facing the sea and even two renowned designer stores, to complete the premium feel they offer. The party crowd is hep and seem to converge there for a good time - one of the few places in Goa where Indians are in a minority or say 50% of the crowd. Prices at the Bar are steep in line with the crowd they attract and cabanas require a minimum billing etc. We were there in the midst of election code of conduct, for upcoming elections, wherein Goa almost closes down at 10 pm. Whilst I was there music started at 3 pm and wound down around sunset and crowd dispersed around 11 pm. When the music is on, the rooms get all the beats and its surely difficult to sleep. But the good part is as a room guest one gets to enjoy all the fun that the place offers. Rooms are okay - not bad and not great but nothing to complain about really. Service is good and the Morjim beach is fantastic. Plenty of shacks nearby (closed between Mid- April to mid-October) to cater to the diverse palate, if the Marbela food doesn't impress! One can't go wrong with Marbela Beach Resort subject to being ready for music through the afternoon and into the night.
It is beautiful property ,feel like paradise it is a cherry to an eye as soon you enter the hotel ,courteous staff .I took the royal suite which has 2 beds and one bathroom ,shower was bit of a disappointment as I expected an open shower as written in their site but that was not there. We stayed on Saturday and there was party till late night but due to demonetisation the crowd was less. The food is delicious and pizza is best. The cabanas on front sea view is paradise.
This place is located at an extremely calm beach. In the day there is a sense of calm and serenity to this place. by evening the place picks up beat and theres fun music and party happening around. the food is very nice as well. definitely a must visit.
