It’s an amazing property in the northern area, unmatched by any other.
The food is great, the service is excellent, and the view is breathtaking.
It features a private beach and a beautiful indoor pool.
We stayed for three days and had breakfast here each morning, along with other meals’everything was excellent.
One suggestion for the management: while dining outside, crows often sit on the balcony, which can be quite disturbing.
Looking forward to visiting again soon!

I had a wonderful stay at Marquis Beach Resort in Candolim, Goa. The location is perfect’right on the beach, offering beautiful views and easy access to the shore. The rooms are well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere.
The food at the resort is excellent, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. Every meal was fresh and flavorful. The service is another highlight’the staff is courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist, making the stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, Marquis Beach Resort is a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy Goa. Highly recommended!

Lovely small resort at the quieter end of Candolim. Pool view room, very clean and comfortable. February is the busiest time and the hotel is fully booked. Staff super helpful. Breakfast service is a bit slow as it’s busy, evening service is slicker. Mainly domestic tourists in family groups. On site spa and good little gym.
No chance of getting a sun lounger by the pool unless you want to get up very early, they only have 8 of them. Pool is lovely though and the beach is a three minute walk away where there are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas.

Recently stayed at the hotel and wasn't happy with the experience. Not giving it one star as at least the location is nice. Apart from that there are multiple issues with the hotel.
1- We booked two premium rooms but were allocated very different kinds. One was good but other was tiny. Their response was that both of them are premium but one is in older building. They solved it eventually but weren't nice about it.
2 - The reception staff is not trained at all of welcoming at a 4/5 star property. Much better staff experience is available at same rate hotels.
3- The whole staff behaves as if they live on tip money. Would not leave if you don't tip, making things super awkward.
4 - The most important con is that all rooms face the public pool. So there is 0 privacy when taking a dip in the pool. Maybe better for family with kids, but not suited for females especially as the guests kept staring at you from their room balconies.
5 - And lastly, do not book well in advance (we did it in October, for a Dec stay) as their prices dropped significantly nearer to when we planned to stay. When we raised it with them, they said we have dynamic pricing and so we won't get any refund of price difference.

An excellent stay from start to finish; just the relaxation, good food, and warm service we needed. We love all parts of Candolim, from the chaotic to the luxurious, and the Marquis hotel offered the latter for what I consider to be very good value. Where others have complained of the room size, I would say this was standard for the UK, if not more spacious, with a lovely veranda.
Most staff were very professional and courteous. Very attentive service at the restaurant, with skilled chefs happy to accommodate dietary-specific requirements. The food in the restaurant is only marginally more expensive than other restaurant, although taxes do add up. Despite the extra 5% service charge, we couldn't help but tip on top of this, as they really are very good at what they do. I would encourage those staying at the hotel to do the same; if you can afford to stay here, you can afford to give away 500Rs a day!
