Except location nothing is gud Except location nothing is gud

by santoshs735 on February 16, 2017

Only location is gud, breakfast complimentary but not gud , staff also not very gud , mostly they say no to everything. No separate parking only roadside parking is there, treebo added few gud paintings and make it worth staying but still scope for lots of improvement.

Nice hotel in good location Nice hotel in good location

by Cemsy on December 29, 2016

I stayed here for 2 nights with my 3 sons and we found it clean and pleasant. One of the rooms was a bit more basic but the other had a nice little balcony and both were very clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and it was a good base for exploring Panjim. Would definitely stay again.

Nice and cosy Nice and cosy

My first visit to Goa was made memorable by Mayfair. We went on a Company offsite and it was important that all of us enjoyed the short stay. Mayfair is a lovely property built in the old English style. The rooms are cosy and spacious and the food not too bad. The poolside and the pool itself is the hotel's USP and foreigners, I presume, come just for that. A major setback is the wi-fi and if you are on a business trip, it is better to check out on this aspect before you check in. The surroundings are lonely and you can relax as long as you wish in your hotel rooms. But as soon as you need to buy anything for yourself or for the family, you will have to go at least a mile. There's no buying and selling happening outside - you just don't have any types of shops. As for the food, you may get a few surprises - they look good but I cannot vouch for the taste. The kitchen staff needs to be told how you like your food, and it is better if you go for a la carte instead of the buffet. Overall not bad but I think you can get better deals in Goa.

Awful from start to finish Awful from start to finish

by RupertTravis on April 20, 2015

Average hotel riding high on their Lonely Planet top entry. Dirty mattresses, musty smelling room and bathroom, and airconditioner old, dirty, industrial style and loud. Garden messy and not accessable. Staff unhelpful, with unfair opinions of others. Lonely Planet could not have been more off with this one. A terror that will give you asthma and a raw feeling about yourself. Would suggest searching elsewhere.

A total rip-off A total rip-off

The cleaning lady has left a long time ago .I don't know why "Lonely Planet" rates this hotel so high, they must have been here "100 years" ago. Old and not worth the money. The beds and cushions look like they have never been replaced the last 40 years. That's how old this joint is. I wouldn't even say budget hotel to this one. It's more like a bad lodge. No service at all
