We 4 couples stayed from 8th Feb to 11th February 2017 in this hotel. Rooms were spacious. Room service was good. Reception staff was courteous. Location was very good just on the Miramar beach. For movement, taxi stand and bus stop is just at the entrance of the hotel. Complimentary Buffet breakfast at their Foodland Restaurant was amazing. Lunch and dinner was also mouth watering.
Good Things First: 1) Good Restaurant with tasteful food and Live music at dinner 2) Greenery and peaceful surroundings inside the hotel with clear chirping sounds by birds in the morning 3) Close to Miramar Beach Things which need improvement: The property should be managed better. Toilets should have exhaust fans for better ventilation. Reception counter looks messy. Wi-fi is not complimentary and charges (Rs. 400 for one day, one device) are exorbitant. Common areas such as lobby, lifts etc. should be renovated. Lifts are quite old and need to be refurbished. Overall, the look and feel of a sarkari guest house (with no professional management) need to be changed.
This place is very peaceful. Yes it is away from the main attractions but this in itself is one good attraction. Right on the beach and next to this there is a weekly fair where street food vendors sell their delicacies. The property has a in premise coffee shop for the late night strolls and coffee. The meals are very filling and good.
I really cannot understand previous reviews of other people. I have stayed in so many hotels in many countries. This is the second time I need to give a hotel zero points, bud tripadvisor does not allow me that. This hotel should be a great place it has one big problem - cleaning. This place is dirty and disgusting. Where to begin? The reception is disgusting place, it also take ages to finish check-in procedure. The room is big enough for two people, but everyhing is dirty - floor, bed, bed linen, pillows. I think the blanket on the bed was not washed for years. Dust everywhere, also inside the wardrobe. Dead insect on the floor in bathroom. Toilet, shower, sink - everything disgusting. Air condition without regulation. No cleaning for my whole stay, towels were not changed, no toilet paper - only bucket typical for Indian toilets, brr. Breakfast was relatively good, only spicy food. I have not tried coffee and water when I saw how it was prepared. There was no internet connection in the room. It was available only at the reception for 30 rupees per hour. Forget the beach - the hotel is 100 metres from the sea, but the beach is maybe 300 metres from the hotel. The beach is disgusting, too - rubbish wherever you look. Unfortunately also in the water. Do not risk swimming in the pool - as I read other reviews, the water is not clean. This hotel must be refubrished and cleaned - as soon as possible. If you like yourself a bit, avoid this place at any cost. There must be another places around for much better prices.
The reception is responsive. The restaurant has choices while it is priced higher side. The beach is right across the residency and is 5 mins walk. We stayed in the AC room. Typically, the prices are jacked up in the peak season for no additional service or benefit. The rooms are not upto the mark at all. Don't expect much.
