After the city, Villa Morjim was a most excellent getaway. Spacious, grand, and best of all, the garden opens out onto the wide river.. where one can see a variety of migratory birds. Quite a sight first thing in the morning! The rooms are large and luxurious, and still homely. The in-house chefs know how to cook the sea-food Goa-style, yet keep the cuisine light and easy on the stomach. The staff is very helpful and always polite. Highly recommended!
After being let down on a horrible villa we had been missold Villa Morjim just happened to be available for our exact dates. We called the villa at 4:00pm and were happily settled in by 7:30pm. Rahul, Sid and the team on the ground were amazing. When you enter this villa you literally get the 'wow' feeling, the look, the feel and the smells are fantastic. The staff on hand were polite and discreet, they literally let us treat the house as our own. The bedrooms are all amazing (except the little 5th room that we didn't need) with private bathrooms. The 'top' bedroom's ensuite was a bit hit and miss with hot water and all guests should be advised to close the outside windows at night - the mosquito's still get in through the netting! The villa is a ten minute walk to the beach and literally 100 yrds to a lovely little restaurant if you want to stay local. Great for cocktails off the beach too! The villa arranged taxi's for us, made dinner reservations and went out on their bike to buy us a few goodies. My only negative feedback would be that there needs to be more of a selection for breatkfast - but this could have been out fault for not asking for it. Plus there simply wasn;t enough nights to go out and enjoy the local cuisine as well as enjoy the delicious meal cooked by the boys and the chef in house. Just too little time! It was genuinely sad to leave the villa and all the staff, they became family and we can only hope that we get to stay there again one day. This villa comes super-highly recommended.
A slightly long overdue review. I was looking for a very offbeat wedding venue in Goa and booked Villa Morjim for the same and boy did I make the perfect choice. The place is BEAUTIFUL! The architecture is spectacular. The place gives a very happy vibe which was one of the main reasons I picked the place. Siddarth was helpful from day one. The staff here went out of the way to make things comfortable for us. A special mention of the cook (she makes the most delightful fish curry) Everything about this place is beyond perfect :)
I had a great time at Villa Morjim when I visited Goa. It's conveniently located, and it's a fantastic place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing and luxurious experience in Goa. I recommend sitting on the upper balcony with an iced coffee and catching the sun rise over the river. Truly a unique experience. The staff is very friendly and professional; and the homemade iced coffee is amazing.
Had an amazing time at this stunning beach facing villa! The architecture is beautiful and the rooms are super spacious. The staff was very hospitable and the food was delicious. Best place to stay in Goa, can't wait to go back!!
