Stayed in property with family, both Indians and foreigners stays in the property. Since its a budget property, there are no intercom in room. USP of hotel is cleanliness, well kept and clean wash room, corridor, AC & TV are functional. Property is situated on main road, where in you can get local transport, however there is no noise pollution. Beach is bit far but one can walk upto there. Benaulim beach is the nearest one.
Tony and Azad are very helpful caretaker, they are always ready to help with anything. Ideal place to stay if you don't want to waste money on costly accommodation. On request Bfast is served on payment basis. Room has all basic facilities like fridge, AC, TV, electric cattle, etc. They provide only soap in wash room and Tea kit only once during your stay. If you do booking directly its cheaper, however I booked through booking.com.
Will definitely visit again. Good show Mr Pinto.
The mornings are lovely to wake up to with a quiet village atmosphere outside in this area.
We paid a little extra for a suite so we could cook occasionally.
The suite refrigerator was full size,so plenty of room for the booze and food we bought.
Example,I found a small local village market on the Colva Beach road, and bought large king prawns to cook for less than $10 a Kilo.
Colva road is also loaded with cafes, supermarkets and liquor shops,3 Klicks from Hotel.
As well as the hotel offering room service food, several restaurant delivery services will deliver to your room as well.
Use a service that offers GPS on their App and also allows you to do online reviews as well.
Our suite had a street facing bedroom, is separate to lounge and had its own A/C and the bed large and comfortable.
The lounge had a large sofa,Flat screen TV its own A/C and Kitchenette.
The large roof area of the hotel mostly empty can be used for laying in the sun.
The manager and the room lads were great and very helpfull.
Transport can be arranged at the desk.
Tony and his staff run this place in a superb way.
The breakfast is in house prepared and can be enjoyed in your room. We had a fine view from the room and balcony all over the fields. A few shops are very nearby. Restaurants and ATM's and a Domino Piza place is only a 15 minutes walk turning left when leaving the hotel. There is a bus stop just near the hotel. We visited Colva and Margao that way. We walked to Benaulim Beach and to Sernabatim beach, about 40 minutes each destination. The hotel is a fine place to relax. We fully recommend the Ocean Crest.
Not exactly a beach or ocean resort but ideally located twixt 3 beaches.
For the casual traveler who might want an halfway house between North and South Goa extremes.
The owner is very amiable and the staff are willing to please.
There's no restaurant attached to the hotel but you can order out. Breakfast however is available in the rooms along with power kettle and accoutrements....
Also try this very reasonably priced "motel" if you are just passing through.
Positives: The look and feel of the hotel, passageways, room is pleasing and clean and not very costly. Booked a taxi for the airport and it came on time; though I thought the rate (Rs 900 AC) was quite high. A good, fancy restaurant (Kudos) is located nearby, as also a well-stocked supermarket (Ramola supermarket). If you have a vehicle, Colva beach and a couple of other beaches are not too far away. The Goa Chitra Museum too is quite close as is Margao. Tony the manager seemed quite helpful though I did not have much occasion to avail of his services.
Areas of improvement: I stayed here two nights, the room (#302) was not cleaned during this period. There were red ants in one corner of the room. The door to the balcony has to be kept shut due to security reasons and there is no window to the room, that is a problem especially if you dont want to use the AC. The door chain was broken, the TV is quite small. The AC only worked at full blast and not really at any other settings. Hence couldnt sleep properly the first night. I rented a two-wheeler through front desk and the rate was quite costly (Rs 350 for a day). Bed lights should be provided for reading, the tubelight makes for harsh light at night. Toilet paper was missing during my stay. Other tips: This is away from the beaches so you will need some vehicle of your own. Use maps, printed or Google to find your way around. Good for budget travellers. Single women travellers or families to evaluate whether this hotel: location and security fits their requirement
