Fantastic location , great service

Nice resort to spend a couple of days at. The Resort is right on the beach. The restaurant is reasonable, beer is cheap and their barbequed chicken is something i recommend.
Tip: always ask for the sea facing room. The rooms near the reception are noisy due to the power generator and aircon.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY

How to reach:
Rococco is located right at Ashwem beach in North Goa. The resort offers a wide range of rooms to suit every budget. It would take a long 1 hour 45 minutes ride from Dabolim International Airport. A one way ride would cost anywhere between 1600-1900 INR depending on the size of the vehicle. A Toyota Innova would cost around 1800-1900 INR one way.
In & around:
Since it was an off-time (off season), at the time we visited (Mid October), not many places around were open. You can find the closest wine-shop at a distance of 500 mtrs. While heading out of the property, take a left and keep moving straight and on your right you'd find a board that says, "River Side Wine Store". This place has limited options, so in my opinion, halt at a place on your way from the airport. I do not recall the name of the shop, but it is 2kms before Rococco.
Around: a mere distance of less than 100mtrs you'll be able to find a Spa & a minimart.
Spa- Arti Spa
There's a lot of greenery in and around the property, which gives it a soothing effect. I'd wish they could replicate the same in their rooms as well.
The 3 categeory of rooms which I am aware of they offer are,
1)Standard rooms- Please skip these, not at all child friendly and they offer a dreadful view of the front exterior of the property.
2)Garden view- These are closer to their reception area, well sized and some also offer a bath tub, but they are leaked so practically of no use.
3)Sea view- These ones offer a spectacular view of the beach with a small balcony. We stayed in room no 21, which is the farthest from the beach as we were informed the ones closest to the beach were under maintenance. No complaints over the view, it was stunning. Several times, we gazed the sunset from our very own room, without bothering much of dropping off down to the beach. This very room was more than good for 2 people, ample of space. 3 major disappointing factors about it were,
a)Unavailability of wi-fi: We were informed that the signal of their fixed Wi-Fi router doesn't cater to the sea view rooms, so we were offered a Jio reliance 4G router. That small fancy piece was merely worth it's look and far from what it was truly designed for. While this was replaced with another piece, even that wasn't worth it.
b)Shower: Since they make use of solar gysers we were informed to switch them on 10 minutes prior before use. However, it took all the time in the world, but really not even once we could make good use of them.
c)Overall maintenance: With the rains pouring, we got a hint of it in our room, all thanks to a poorly maintained window which had a slight gap around it. Luckily, this was minimal, so not much to worry.
An in-house restaurant always is a blessing to cater to all your room service needs.
The one here offers a beach view with an open seating area section too. The only downside is that the closed end section doesn't have an air-conditioner. Staff is very polite and courteous, a special mention about Ajay & Govind. They were right on their toes in catering to our needs, keep up the good work folks.
Boomerang: A beach view restaurant, just at a stone's throw distance from Rococco. This is right next to the property. We went here for just a few drinks and lite bites. It's a full fledged resort with rooms maintained much better than Rococco.
Koleso 24/7 Lounge & Bar: Located at roughly 300mtrs. This was shut at the time, but did look exciting enough with the view and the mere fact of 24*7, is more than good to plan a visit here.
Prarna Cafe: At merely 400 mtrs you'll come across this cafe on the right which looks like wooden huts from outside.
Pathetic Pathetic & Pathetic. Just Don't go.

Just don't. I had booked a room after looking at the reviews and pictures and had paid around Rs. 8000 per night. This was one of my biggest mistake. The room was really small and in a pathetic condition plus it was on the road side without any provision for ventilation. The hotel is being run by some foreigner. I asked her to cancel my room for two days which she refused as it was tourist season. I tried to reason with her that if its a tourist season then she can profits by charging some fee for cancellation and giving the room on premium to some other customer but she refused. I was given an upgrade after huge arguments but still the new room was same, just bigger in size. The resort does not have any kind of security. Any one can enter from any side. I was given a room next to bike shop which itself is pathetic. In breakfast the only thing vegetarians get is poori with sabzi and watermelons and bananas. The only plus point was the front view which you could have got in any resort. We spent most of the time travelling but our mood was spoilt every time we went back to the resort. Thought of going back to the property was enough to spoil your mood. One of the person sought an extension on 2nd and it was provided for Rs. 2000/-. Don't go by reviews, if you are spending more than 2 grands, just don't choose this property. it's not worth the money. They are selling it like premium property which it is not. I would not call it even 2 starts property that too after considering the beach view.

I am usually a very generous rater but Rococco forced me to change myself. Room- unclean, small,ac doesnt work no matter what. Beds - I wonder if the sheets have been changed or washed ever. Yes its that dirty. Bathtub- I felt dirtier after bathing in the tub since it was that disgusting. Did I mention the AC doesnt work? Because the rooms dont have fans. So all you can do is sit and sulk about the AC coz that wont change. WiFi. Dont think the hotel has ever heard of it because they give you 3 passwords and link names but I can assure you none of them would work no matter how hard you try. It only asks you to move closer. But to what? Since I was staying right in front of the reception. It probably meant my home WiFi. Coming to breakfast- same options every day. N they charge you 300 for that. Poori. Chana. Oatmeal. Bread. Thats all. Their tea is pathetic and if you want to have coffee you gotta make it yourself with milk coffee packs n sugar. But atleast that would be drinkable unlike the tea. So much so that we decided to celebrate our new year with the next door resort and not rococco. The only reason I rated it poor and not terrible is because of the location coz thats amazing. And the food from the menu. The food is extremely delicious. Also their front desk manager Susha is a helpful lady and few of the housekeeping folks are fine. Apart from these, its pathetic and I dont see myself staying there ever.
