Its not royal palace it should be royal dustbin .. Poor room , poor service ... We got nothing what we was promised... Plz stay away from this hotel . Dont spoil your holiday . Hotel staff is so rude . No room service .. We gave them 4 days advance and had to leave the hotel on 3 day . It was a pathetic experience

Most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at in any of my trips. Travelled with Wife and Kid; so was looking forward to a good stay at Goa. There is nothing good about this hotel! really! 1. hotel is in a very bad shape.. 2. Royal rooms dont have sit out/ Balcony 3. The room was full of roaches and mosquitos! 4. Windows were broken; so we couldnt lock em and thus crazy insects got into the room 5. service was hopelessly slow 6. the entire hotel is dirty; very badly maintained As soon as you enter the hotel building; you would see some artsy stuff. Do not get carried away. Check the rooms before you check in. And if you are doing it online! dont even think of going here. The hotel management was recently changed and this is the reason the staff gave me for all the disgusting things I had to face at this hotel. I came back from Goa today and wanted to write this review this day itself! just to let my fellow travellers know that this place is a "NO NO". We had to keep the lights on through the night as the roaches used to crawl out from everywhere when the lights go off. Also, some crazy insects... 100s of em.. all over the bed during night. It was a nightmare. Any assistance asked for is ignored or we are told that they are helpless. Again, please please dont get carried away by these *hit holiday package recommendation by makemytrip. After booking the trip; I was actually told the place is bad. But Makemytrip told me that they could not change the itenary to a different hotel as it was a package booking for 3 days which cost me 32k! a very disappointing trip. So we hardly stayed at the hotel; made sure we were outside until late in the night and had to head back to sleep to that god forsaken hotel. my final words..... "Beware!!"

Room, food and ambience is good. The guys asked for full advance of 2 days inspite of telling that nowhere people pay full room rent in advance - but I had arrived late in night with kids and family and the driver said it's same all over Goa and believed them. However, given the room charges (I paid 5k per day for a family room) , service and maintenance is extremely poor. There was no bucket , toilet roll , towels in bath room. I had to ask repeatedly to get one. This is not expected of a hotel that charges so much - I expect things to be ready when I check in. Waiters and receptionist were rude and had no sense of "serving customers". Tea cups had broken handles, tea pots were leaking and room service took lot of time. The worst part came when I was checking out. The bills for eateries were made "arbitrarily". The receptionist said I have 7k dues when I got suspicious. I asked for the bill details and when I calculated the actual bill was just 5800. They had just added 1200 for no reason. When I asked receptionist about it she kind of got tensed and went in and said they are rechecking bill and will give correct one - after 15 min they were still not ready and I kept on asking give the bill - what's taking so long and I asked to talk to manager and they plain refused - and kind of shouted back at me that I can't talk to manager at all. I lost my temper then and I had to tell them this is not how a hotel is run and I need to talk to manager right now. Just then a fellow customer checked his bill too and found he was charged about 500 extra for no reason. Upon multiple insisting (where I almost shouted) the receptionist started making bill on plain paper. That was just too much and I had to barge in manager's office upon which she tried to calm down things and then I got 'manually" prepared bill. It was the worst part of my Goa trip

Hi All, May be I am sharing another horrible experience with this hotel. I had my bookings with Royal Palace Beach Resort on the 4th of Aug for stay during 15-18th Aug through the website www.booking.com As per the hotel agreement with the site, it did not ask for any pre-payment charges - all to be paid at the time of stay.... I got a confirmation email of my booking too. As a check, I called up the hotel on the 15th to check and confirm my bookings, and was in for a total shock, when their reservation desk responded they had no booking in my name. I then called up booking.com helpline and this was resolved, with the hotel calling me back and confirming my reservations. When I reached the hotel, the lobby manager, said there was no booking in my name and he doesnt have any of my details. He then further went to recheck and talk to his seniors, post which they came back, offering me another room, not of the same kind that I had booked and which was in an area which was temporary shutdown. Upon inspecting the room, we realized this is not what we had booked, basic sanitation was missing, and the approach had construction work happening-we had basically been short changed for a room which was still not fully functional. When I raised this with the manager, response we got was, this is what we have left, your booking is not with us, we will still accommodate you, its your call to stay or not stay. We again asked to speak to his senior, which was flatly refused. There was a change in stance now, the team acknowledged our booking, however, as we were late in coming, they had given the room to someone else, as there was no minimum guarantee taken at neither the time of booking nor where the hotel was sure we would be coming. This was totally absurd, as mails from booking.com, our own mails of arrival and subsequent calls we had confirmed the reservation. The fact of the matter was, as this booking was done at an earlier date, and was online, the rates were subsidized. On the other hand, this being start of tourist season in Goa region, it typically sees heavy foot fall, and hence our room was let out to a walking customer, who paid much more than our rates. The hotel did not honor its commitment in lieu of the additional charges it could have made by letting the room to another client. The lobby manager went to the extent of laughing at us. When we wanted to escalate the matter, no one came to talk to us, face to face, however a phone call was arranged, where the booking staff of the hotel said you didnt show up, we didnt charge you any money at the time of booking, your mail doesnt mean anything, since you did not come, your booking was cancelled and even insulted us saying, you want to stay for free is it. The price they charge does not justify with what they promise to provide. Hence, my wife and I were left without a room at 10 pm in an unknown place, with nowhere to go, thanks to the unscrupulous methods adopted by the hotel management. Suggest please AVOID booking this hotel if you are planning for a relaxed stay.

Hi I stay in hotel from 14 to 16 aug,2014. Room which I booked was given to somebody else when i checked-in into hotel.Then they provide me some other room which has insects running in room (bed and bathroom) but as per hotel management the room i got is higher category what i booked.Then i requested me to show the room which i booked they refused to show and asked me to leave the hotel if I can't accommodate in the room which hotel provided me. Front desk staff talk worse to customer. I have booked hotel in prior but still when i checked in i have to wait for 30 minutes to get my room details. Charges are too high as compare to service. Friends please don't stay in this hotel .this hotel should get 2* rating instead of 3 or 4 star
