The Sandalwood hotel is located in Dona Paula close to the beach in a non crowded place. The place is beautifully situated between trees.
I took my family and in laws to the hotel and we were delighted by the hospitality of the hotel. All thanks to Mr. Kamran , friendly and hospitable manager of the hotel, we were upgraded in our rooms and my family felt great.
The staff is very friendly. We had our dinner at the restaurant and I would to thank Mr. Rajat for taking good care of us. The kid with us , my niece too had a great time in swimming pool and the room.
The transportation from the airport to hotel and vice versa and other destinations were absolutely smooth.
Great stuff. Keep it up.
Was probably a good place once. Now its a bit shabby and run down. The reception area is cramped and tiny, the common areas have seen better days. My room had no Air Conditioner controls, it went either on or off.
Breakfast seems for the South Indian tourist. Eggs and poor quality sausages is all as far as protein is concerned.
All in all - they should repaint, repair and improve, because in this condition, its simply not worth their prices.
Its cool, comfortable, homely and nice hotel to stay in Goa. lovely ambiance, cooperative staff and walkable private beach makes it a perfect choice for stay in Dona Paula (Central Goa).
The food is good and staff is very co-operative.

Built around a a large central court that holds a pool and a lawn (artificial turf, though) Sandalwood provides affordable comfort for family visits as well as to the business traveler. It has pretty fast check-in and a competent travel desk. It is within 5-7 minutes walking distance from the Vainguinim Beach, which though not large, has the advantage of not being too crowded either. The rooms are fairly large and quite comfortable, with good, clean toilets. Each of the rooms has a small balcony, and it is nice to sit with a cup of tea and a book or a newspaper there. The complimentary breakfast is not over-elaborate but provides a good choice of fresh fruits, juices, iddli/dosa, puri/sabzi, eggs to order and there is a large adjoining restaurant where one can sit quietly and eat at ease and get re-fills. In the evenings, one can unwind at either of two fairly well-stocked bars. The service is friendly, helpful and good.
