It was pathetic experience.. hotel staff does not even have manners to talk to the guesst. They threaten their guesst that you will not be able to go back home single leg, and no one else but the GM of the hotel uses such kind of language to their guesst. I am planning to sue travelguru for making my vacations so horrible. I had even called goa police to safeguard me from hotel staff, and when i contacted travelguru for the help they never turnef up for my help. Travelguru sucks. Do not make any booking with them!!!

Double bed was so noisy that it gave us sleepless nights, even some of the staffs were rude. Average hotel, i would recommend other good hotels within the same price range in the vicinity

The hotel is very beautiful. The rooms are large and well maintained. The room cleaning is done every morning. Tea and coffee maker was provided in the room. The hotel has all the amenities like swimming pool, health club etc. They also have parking for the ones who come in their private vehicles. The food was good. The hotel is very good. The interior is marvellous. Rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms. Twice a day cleaning is done in the rooms. There is also a swimming pool in the hotel. The only thing which disappointed us is that the restaurant is not good. The food was not tasty and on complaining they didnt respond to us. This was the worst hotel that we have stayed in. Although the location was convenient the surrounding area unclean and bad. Fortunately our room was fine but washroom was not good. Located 3 kms away from the beach.he beach.

"Good location and great staff"

Stayed at the Santa Monica for 21 nights Jan/Feb 17, our 13th visit to this little gem. Good location for Calangute and Candolim and an 8 minute stroll to the beach. Several restaurants close by, Sizzling Ice,Spice Rack and Fire & Ice to name a few. Had a great reception in the early hours, allocated a ground floor,pool facing room,as I'd previously requested.Thanks Reev. The hotel is basic but rooms are a small suite consisting of lounge area,bedroom,kitchen and bathroom. The lounge has 2 fans and bedroom A/C and fan. Room was cleaned every day, fresh towels and linen also given on a daily basis. Mini bar in fridge, charged at reasonable price and replenishished daily.Great roomboys very attentive, thanks Anital & Nilish. Breakfast consisted of tea/coffee, take your mug if you like a large cuppa first thing.Toast/jam and marmalade, fruit juice, with the addition of eggs any way you like them included this year. Payable menu available for cooked breakfast.Restaurant staff do a great job and very friendly. Food in the restaurant is reasonably priced,with themed nights, BBQ nights and grill nights. Entertainment offered weekly. Pool a decent size, and cleaned several times a week. Towels provided on request and sun beds round the pool. Safe boxes available at a minimum charge,(40 rups per night) these are in the reception area in a locked room. There are security guards on duty 24/7 who do a great job, thanks Victor and colleague. Free Wi Fi this year which was a great plus. Counting down to our next visit Jan 2018. Thanks to all the staff who do a top job.

Just returned from our first visit to India and stayed at the Santa Monica on a bed & Breakfast basis very friendly people the hotel is basic as with many in Goa but a good base to start from and return to will go back again next year

Hotel Sanata Monica is located near Calanghute beach and probably only good thing abut the hotel. Hotel is costly and is basically for non Indian travelers. You will see lots of old age foreigners staying here for longer time. The in house restaurant is basically customized for non Indians and pricey. Rooms are just good to live not more than that. There is wifi only in the restaurant and works very poor in the room. Also lots of mobile networks does not work well for data connection as well. They provide breads and tea in the name of free breakfast. No free water in the room for drinking as well.

This was our 3rd visit to Santa Monica and another wonderful stay.The staff are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble and were always happy to call the local taxi driver for our group. The rooms are very spacious and cleaned to a very high standard, clean towels and bedding. The fridge is well stocked and re filled daily with water and Kingfisher. Great location for the beach and resturants. Thank you all for making our holiday enjoyable and memorable looking forward to our next stay.

Booked this hotel in June 2016 for a holiday in January 2017. we had lots of choice with other hotels but the reviews looked good so we decided to go for it. There were 3 of us going, myself and my parents who are visually impaired, we requested adjoining rooms so I could be on hand if they needed anything. When we arrived we were put on separate floors, my parents on the ground floor at the back of the hotel overlooking an old bonfire and a sheet of tarpaulin. Even though it was the ground floor there was still many steps to negotiate. I was put on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel overlooking a toilet roll factory. The room absolutely stunk of chemicals, it was impossible to breath. I immediately spoke to the manager via reception and he promised me faithfully that at 9pm the next day after guests leave we would have adjoining rooms overlooking the pool. I stayed in my parents room on a hard truckle bed as the room I was given was uninhabitable. Next day, surprise surprise, the promise of a change of room never materialised and more excuses where made, the manager was suddenly unavailable so we were not able to talk to him. We immediately left the hotel and went to another much nicer hotel. We booked 8 nights, grudgingly stayed for one. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL it wouldn't surprise me if all their mates are writing the good reviews on here.
