Mr& Mrs Steve & Ann Young.

The holiday at the Sea Mist was very enjoyable. The staff, location, surroundings, cleanliness throughout, food & service were excellent & of a high standard.
The pool area is beautiful but definitely requires more sun beds to accommodate a greater number of guests.
The lounge area in the accommodation was fine, though the shower/ toilet area, although adequate, requires refurbishment to a higher level. Walking on a wet floor, sometime after showering,to use the toilet is not good & could be hazardous. Possibly slipping & resulting in a fall.
However, overall, thanks for a very memorable holiday. Would not hesitate, in the future, to make a return visit.
If our recommendations were to be met, we would definitely give the hotel a rating of 4.
Disappointing This Time
by steve w on
We have stayed at the Sea Mist several times, and always enjoyed it, sadly this visit was a big disappointment.
Room A7 Make over, on first impression looked ok, Shower floor tiles were more slippy than the old ones, could do with a shower grab rail, why are there no smoke alarms in the rooms? Mattresses were very old and lumpy! could do with changing. Bedding and towels are threadbare, with rips in most of the bedding didn't always smell fresh either!
During breakfast there is just 1 waiter on duty from 7.30am until 9am, he has to deal with guests, outside visitors, and deal with room service too, far too much for just one waiter to deal with!. (reported, but no change)
Pool. Brollies still only 4 usable for a 26 room hotel, Mentioned this on my trip adviser report in 2017?
Local guests going in pool fully clothed, this was reported by British guests several times, no action was taken, also drinking, and leaving bottles right on the edge of the pool, again reported to management, and staff, but again turned a blind eye? Pool, understandably looked murky most days. Outside guests using pool, There were 6 while we were there. There are not enough sunbeds and brollies for the paying guests who are staying at the hotel.
Locals paid far less than British guests, but sadly was treated much better!
Best Experience in Candolim Goa
by CloverJu on
The rooms are remarkably clean, bed very comfortable and bathrooms speak and span. The staff are very helpful and always at your disposal. The compount is well kept and far removed from the cacophony of the street. It's the best your money can get you in this part of Goa. If you're looking for a descent place tk stay in the midst of a crowdy beach area, then this place is a great choice. Ghe restaurant is also amazing for dinner. Thanks team Sea Mist for making our stay great. Julian and Abu
Very Good Budget Hotel

Best part about my stay was easy access to Candolim beach.Hotel was just 2 min away from beach. Also all major restaurants, shacks, pubs, supermarkets , buses , taxis were available in radius of 500 meters. Hotel rooms and bathroom were spacious. Hotel has a beautiful lawn and a small pool. At times room service was delayed. Towels and blankets were a bit old. Airconditioner was faulty in our room however hotel staff were prompt in changing our room. Changed room din't have intercom facility. Staff was courteous and soft spoken. They had free breakfast which was great compared to other hotels. Overall had a great stay and value for money.

Looked OK form the outside, nice display of fairy lights on the wall and the cricet on the telly. But that's about as good as it got. Positives - the Naan bread was very nice, and the dahl was OK, but the Goan fish curry was very disapointing and Olga took one look and mouthful of her vegetable kurma and almost turned the same sickly green grey as the dish.
Review is for the restaurant bit and not the hotel and or resort
