The room in which I stayed was spacious room with clean bed sheet, pillows with all the facilities. Hotel is located near the beach. Swimming pool was maintained well. The hotel has a fine restaurant and bar, food was superb in taste. Service level was fantastic. I would definitely visit again in future.

Good experience. We stayed for 2 nights in Executive room. It is beautiful and well maintained. Food is excellent and the service is prompt. Very average hotel, rooms are very small, services are just ok. Looking in to the tariff rate i would definitely recommended.

If you're Russian or stuck in 1985 you'll fit right into this atmosphere. Nice surroundings, however the room needed some maintenance and cleaning. Overpriced considering the standard they are offering.

We had booked the resort online and when we reached there found it near to the beach. The staff at reception took a long time to register our details. The room was big with a separate seating area. But you can clearly see that the wall paper was getting peeled off n a bad smell coming out of the room. There was leakage problem and a bad problem of water logging in the bathroom. Even though we complained many times nothing happened. They just said "yeh problem to rahega" "iska kuch nahi ho sakta". The restaurant was vegetarian only. The service slow. One evening we went for dinner to see a big group enjoying their meal and no one even replying to us. After about 30 mins we were served when we constantly requested the staff. We came to know that the MD and his family were dining so the guests could not be entertained. The MD was sitting and seeing the problems of the guests but dint bother to ask the waiters to serve us food. Pros: Near the Cavellosim beach. Cons: Costly, Poor Management, pathetic room service, fully veg, hotel, understaffed, seepage in rooms, heavy water logging in bathrooms. All considered I would not advice anyone to book a room at the resort.

We are here since last four days & enjoying privacy in swiming pool, beach everywhere. The resort is a big one with considerable sized pool. Rooms are also good value for money & maintained. Of course you won't expect five-star facilities at this price. I would suggest to rent a car if you are willing to go to North Goa coz it's really far. It was a pleasant surprise for us when we came to know that it's a pure veg resort as we are pure veg. Breakfast is really awesome. Room service is very slow but they are well behaving & try to help. Overall, good value for money.

I have never written a review before and we have been to many countries. This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, I strongly recommend you stay elsewhere! I dont want this to be too long but just to give you some examples of how poor The Bykes service was, I have listed a few things that happened during our stay with them: 1. Friday 30th December Transfers From the get go, it was a disaster. We arrived at Goa airport to find our transfers did not show (even though I confirmed 24 hours prior as requested). I called Mr Raj Tanwar, the man I confirmed the transfers with and he hung up on me. He did not want to deal with the situation so simply put the phone down on me. 2. Arriving at the hotel After getting a taxi to the hotel. We were not being seen to buy anybody. The members of staff were talking to each other instead of seeing to their frustrated guests. I asked to check in and our room was not yet ready, although we paid for the night before (Thursday 29th December). They told us to go and have breakfast whilst they sorted our room. 3. Breakfast If you can even call it that. I have never seen anything like it, the food that was put out had grown a skin over it. The tea and coffee machine wasnt even working, I asked a man if he could please fix it and he just nodded at me vacantly. The only thing that was edible were the pancakes. We were frustrated, tired and hungry and all that we could eat were pancakes?! 4. Reception We had to chase again to be taken to our room. Every member of staff at that hotel need to go on a Peoples Management course because for some reason, they all talk amongst themselves as opposed to talking to their guests. 5. The room I have never been so astonished in my entire life. The room was disgusting. a) There were stains on the dirty, used sheets b) No pillow cases c) One damp, dirty towel on the floor d) The TV was faulty e) The sink was cracked so you had all of one minute to brush your teeth before the sink filled up f) No WIFI in the room (this is no biggy, however it was advertised that WIFI was available everywhere) g) We tried napping hoping we would feel better afterwards and the mattress was so old, springs were sticking out of it. We couldnt even sleep My other half complained at reception and demanded a new room but the staff replied saying, all the rooms are the same. They didnt care that we were so unhappy. It was as if they were used to this. 6. Saturday 31st December (NYE) Hairdryers As it was New Years Eve, I wanted to do my hair for the Gala. There wasnt a hairdryer in the room so we asked at reception and they said you had to rent them out. To make it worse, there was an hourly charge. I asked if I could have one at 6pm as the gala was at 7:30pm. The hairdryer never arrived, even after countless calls to reception. My partner again had to physically go down there and chase. 7pm came and the truth came out, there were only 5 hairdryers on site and 3 were not working. They had 2 hairdryers for 400 guests to share on New Years Eve. I was appalled. At this point, I had reached my limit and burst into tears. My partner somehow managed to track down the only 2 working hairdryers in the hotel. We plugged them both in and guess what happened. They both sparked out because they were such cheap hairdryers. I was astonished that this hotel deemed themselves to be 3 stars?!! I spent my New Years Eve with soaking wet hair. And to say the least, was very, very upset. 7. Sunday 1st January Housekeeping We walked into our room after housekeeping had visited to find they had taken the old towels and toilet roll and not replaced them with new ones. We let reception know immediately but of course, everything in this hotel is 5 minutes, 5 minutes, however nothing comes in 5 minutes. Nothing even comes after an hour. We chased for hours for new towels and toilet roll (very normal things) and nothing came. I lost my cool at this point, I physically could not handle anymore. We went to reception with the attached list and complained. I told the manager we were checking out the following morning because we physically couldnt do it anymore. I also demanded a refund for the remaining 5 nights we were not going to stay there. To be fair to the manager, Mr Jack Rodrigues, he was very apologetic and embarrassed about the service (well, the lack of) we had received in the 3 days we stayed there. He gave us our money back in cash for the 5 days. We were very appreciative. We moved to the Radisson Blu around the corner which was of course, beautiful. The staffs service was impeccable. It was like a breath of fresh air walking in, maybe we could now enjoy our holiday. You would think. In the new stunning hotel room, I received a phone call from the manager at The Byke Hotel, Mr Jack Rodrigues. He said that they accidentally overpaid us and we need to give them some of the money back. It was 70 a night and we were owed the 5 nights (350), we were paid exactly that in Indian Rupees. For some reason, they wanted us to give back 95 and if we didnt, the boy that handed us the cash would lose his job. The manager tried pulling at my heart strings and stated the boy is poor etc etc. Yet again, this awful hotel run by this awful man was still disrupting our holiday and causing us grief!!! If anybody should be sacked, it should be him because yet again, he made the mistake yet we were being punished for it. For us to actually enjoy the remaining few days we had left in Goa, we ignored calls, emails etc and just got on with the holiday. I have never cried before on holiday or been so stressed to the point I wanted to go home. Moral of the story is.. NEVER GO TO THIS HOTEL, IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reception looked lovley and inviting. Then you get to the room. The shower room was so big with the drain at the end of the other side of the bathroom which made the floor like a ice rink and the water wouldn't drain away once we had a shower. The bed quilt was filthy. The door to the patio was faulty and unsecure. The breakfast room smelt like off curry. The pool was dirty and tiles broken and missing. No towels in the room and had to ask for cleans ones aswell Overall didn't feel comfortable

we stayed in the resort for one day !! which we felt it was as if a month !! It is a huge resort , with 240 rooms and very less man power !! ' service is very bad !! ' rooms and huge and good well maintained !! Restaurant food is very bad !! very less varieties In buffet !! No Proper Co Ordination between themselves !! LOT TO IMPROVE

The location of the hotel is excellent - right opposite the beach and to the back you have the River Sal. The pool area is very attractive and the staff are extremely friendly. However, this was spoiled for us because of many things. Firstly the room wasn't cleaned for 3 days. We expected someone to come in to make the beds and empty the bins but when we asked at reception we were told you had to ask daily for the room to be cleaned. I asked on 3 occasions for the balcony to be cleaned as it was filthy - the floor was covered in broken plaster and dust. There was no hot water in our room and we had a cold shower all holiday. We complained daily and were told it would be sorted. Eventually we were told it couldn't be fixed and were offered another room. By then we were near the end of our holiday so we didn't bother. The buildings look rather "tired" and were stained with black mildew. The accommodation blocks looked shabby and dirty. The painters did start coming round so it might look better now. We stayed from 29 Nov-8 Dec 2016. The breakfast wasn't suited for Western tastes. There was only conrnflakes, toast and jam and water melon. The toaster didn't work so you had to queue for ages, putting the bread in 4-5 times. It was difficult to find a table that had a reasonably clean table cloth. Most of them were filthy and it put you off eating on them.
