nice hotel with great and large rooms. i stayed at the diva club, which was very relaxing. the club has a nice pool and a nice restaurant. all staff was very friendly but unfortunately very slow and not very well trained. . disapponting was the fact that i could not get a late check out, even though it was only for one hour more and especially since they did not even touch the room during this hour. what can be recommended is the spa, great treatments at a wonderful place.
First visit to Club Diwa and would come again. Really well looked after. Great rooms really large and very clean. Al a carte breakfast good if you have an hour or so to spend which we did so no problem there. Lovely staff who couldn't do enough for you. Down side and only minor - lighting in bathroom could have been brighter, sun loungers uncomfortable, would have expected better as everything else was of a high standard. Beach a 10 min walk which was spoilt by rubbish being discarded on the road side. Would recommend for adults only, not really much or kids to do, the main hotel would suit families better.
if you want a place to chill and relax the club area if the Diwa is it. calm, quiet and luxurious. breakfast can be taken from 7.30 am until 7 pm. and is a very easy and unhurried experience with lots and lots of choice. you don't need to go away hungry. the sundown drinks at 6 pm which are complimentary are also fun, and glasses are filled and refilled at request.... a lovely end to a day by the pool or beach and before heading for dinner. the rooms are huge, bathrooms are also luxurious... i can't fault the place. the beach is short walk, or you can catch a hotel buggy, and worth a visit with lots of lively beach shacks.
Just arrived back yesterday, firstly this is my opinion and obviously everyone is entitled to their own views. The weather was fantastic, the hotel is beautiful, grounds very well kept the rooms in the club are lovely staff keep them very clean. Most of the staff were very attentive in particular the lady supervisor in the club was brilliant. Few gripes however, WHY were we asked every single time we had a drink or the breakfast in the bistro to sign the receipt? We were not the only people to have A gripe about this, we actually witnessed some very rude people who totally refused to sign or even give their room numbers as they we so fed us being asked to sign. Surely the staff know who should be in the club area and who shouldn't? Actually they didn't as we witnessed people from the other side using the pool area which was quite upsetting considering how much we paid to have exclusive use age. Not very well policed by the staff . To be asked every time became very annoying and in the end the staff appreciated how annoying and actually left us alone. We were actually chased out of the Vivo along the path by a staff running after us to sign a receipt, don't they know who's staying at their hotel. (sorry but was was a pain) the hotel needs to sort this out, why not use wrist bands like most inclusive hotels then they wouldn't have to keep bothering people? Also the sun beds in The other part of th e hotel are much better than at the club. I would say that firstly I DID check in advance about food, as I do not eat spice. I know what you may be thinking why go to goa then? I worked in Mumbai for 6 months and have been to another hotel in goa and never once had a problem with this, However the Vivo restaurant in my opinion lets the hotel down, the food was not up to five star standard, not enough international choice. My husband eats anything and even he was fed up with all the food being on the bone, he also didn't feel enough choice. The staff did offer another menu, pizza, pasta,or sandwiches not a very great choice. I ended up having spaghetti 6 times and a club sandwich so many times for lunch I never want to see another one. The chef did offer to cook me something, but this meant everyday at lunch telling them what I wanted at what time -which is not easy to do and basically doesn't allow for flexi time. It became regimented, though I did appreciate them trying . Overall poor food in my opinion. Shaun was fantastic in trying to help, so please say thanks. We paid over 6,000 for this two week stay at the club, was it worth it - no Would I go back - no Would I recommend it, only if your not bothered about the food, being asked to sign for everything and paying more money that others will use as the hotel doesn't check Sorry to add but arrival and departure in goa airport is a nightmare, you arrive if on Thomson behind a large Russian plane, 400 people who are extremely rude pushing in, in front of you. Same on return so please be warned. Get your currency at the airport the hotel never had any, we actually tipped the staff with 10 notes when we left because we couldn't get any currency Overall, real shame as I love the Indians and their country but will not be going back.
We have stayed at Club Diwa four times now and are planning our next stay already. Our experience has been consistently good and the hotel is as fresh as our first visit in 2009. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms huge. Breakfast is excellent and can be taken any time of the day which fits in with the very leisurely ambience. The gardens are very pretty and well kept. The spa is tranquil, staffed with expert masseurs. Staff are very friendly, welcoming and respond promptly to any requests. We recommend Club Diwa to couples who are looking for pure relaxation and high levels of service and comfort.
