We traveled to Goa to attend a conference. While we attended seminars throughout the day, our ten year old bookworm daughter kept her nose buried in her books. No wonder, our overall rating of this resort went up when we discovered the excellent library full of books and magazines for children (as well as adults). The entire resort is laid out like a small self-sufficient campus with various facilities (libray, gym, swimming pool, children's playground) spread out in a well thought out design. Through it all they have also retained a sense of rustic naturalness - which I simply loved. Being able to watch the setting sun sitting on a low stone-wall in peace and complete quiet while my daughter enjoyed the swing is something to treasure after a long and exhausting day of intense science. The room was spacious and excellently laid out, replete with a futon (for the use of our daughter) and a lovely balcony, and was spotlessly clean. The housekeeping staff were excellent in what they did. I am a cleanliness freak and they didn't give me a single moment's headache during our entire stay. The front office staff were also extremely efficient and helpful. I particularly liked the genuine Mario-themed artefacts which were on sale. I absolutely love themed mugs for souvenir and decidedly hate going shopping in the city. Both requirements were met by the front desk when I picked up a Mario-themed mug from their collection. I promised the staff I'd positively post my `positive' review on Tripadvisor. So here it is, hoping we'd be able to return for another ICG experience soon.

Great Value for money, excellent service and peaceful open layout Great Value for money, excellent service and peaceful open layout

Goa is known for high prices and poor cleanliness especially in the lower end hotels. This place is reasonably priced, well maintained and above all is quite spacious. There is a small swimming pool, enough open spaces to sit out and have a leisurely reading, the rooms are big, well appointed and clean. it exudes a serenity which many other hotels lack. The front desk is exceptionally efficient and courteous. Restaurant is good , but if your interest is in Goan cuisine, you will be disappointed. They serve, north Indian and Chinese mostly, but the taste is nothing great to speak of-the standard dished out by most 3-4 star hotels. The bar is quaint and service good. The beech is not very near. If you are a member of the international centre, the rates are very attractive. otherwise it is comparable to other similar hotels of the same class. Things to remember: They host many corporate programmes there, if there is a batch going on, lunch may get delayed, and break fast may not remain through morning . Never arrange a taxi from the hotel. They dont use AC in cars, drivers are from other states and hence dont know any place, the rates are very high.

Finest place for corporate meeting Finest place for corporate meeting

by Gc P on September 21, 2016

we had a high level meeting with 150+ participants including three ministers from six states of the country. All arrangements like stay, food, conference hall and local travel was perfect and well within the budget. Its peaceful location is its another advantage. I recommend this as a perfect destination for high level meeting.

Great value, excellent service with a twist of Great value, excellent service with a twist of "character"

by Tarvel2learn on August 8, 2016

ICG is one of the "hidden gems" of Goa. The attribute that stands out for me is that it is "squeaky clean" (to use an old-fashioned phrase), and there is no better way to put it. Every place you look, you get that sense of being in a property that is well, and lovingly, maintained to a high level of cleanliness. That alone puts it right up there in my list. The staff are very, very, helpful - right from the check-in clerk to the housekeeping folks, and do everything that they can to help. The food is nice, good value, and the chef will try his best to accommodate to your needs. It has a clean pool, and a well stocked gym. Its location is also very helpful- located right between Goa University and Donna Paula jetty, its well located to serve both business and pleasure. The venue also hosts formal and "informal" events- last time, I just sauntered into a workshop on 19th century art and I was just welcomed in with a wave of hand- the stimulating afternoon alone took away all the fatigue of the tedious business trip. And I have encountered something similar every time I have been there. It has a quaint character that just grows on you, and I have been completely captivated by this lovely place. I can't think of any conceivable reason why I should pay obscene money to stay in any other property in Goa (and I am a fairly frequent visitor). ICG gets my vote as the best place to stay in Goa.
