This was my birthday and as I live in Goa, I've seen all of things. But it's always good to stay in a place where you feel special.
This was a sudden plan and I decided to spend a night at The Leela's with my wife.
From the moment you enter the main gate to the reception and to your room it was all great.
You feel you are special and the property is well spread in lush green property as most of the property is covered in Greenery.
The rooms have a great view as you can see the pictures. Also the property has it's access to the beach directly , with golf course , badminton and tennis court, entertainment lounge and biking track.
Overall it was a nice stay and will denitley come once again and a big thank you for the lovely cake and a bottle of champagne in our room upon arrival.
Special thanks to Sandhya Anil, Kim, Vimal and many more as all were welcoming towards us.
Fantasticservice, really goodstaff, facility, location. Heaven on earth, greatrooms, private beach and superbbuffetbreakfast. Greatfoodand non intrusiveatmosphereall round. Really awesome The Leela.
This was a quick weekend visit to Goa at the beginning of December 17 and simply wow! I have been to a number of resorts in Goa and this was by far the best and my favourite. I guess the only real negative point is that it takes almost a hour and a half to reach the resort from the airport - which might not be ideal if you're travelling with kids. Other than that it is positive all the way!
You're welcomed with a refreshing coconut drink, with a sit down check in.
The room (we had a deluxe lagoon villa) was huge and ultra modern. The bathroom was again huge and ultra modern. The resort itself is sprawling and sits right on a very clean beach. Maybe the pool is smaller than what would be expected of a resort of this size.
The buffet breakfast was a nice mixture of Indian and continental and of a good quality. There a number of other restaurants on site (e.g. Indian and Italian) which were both nice if rather pricey! For cheaper options head out to the shacks that are situated right outside the back of the hotel on the beach.
There were no issues with sunloungers - plenty on the beach and on the resort. There is a good sized gym on site. There is a spa on site but we didn't use it.
Excellent customer service - nothing was geberally too much trouble for the staff.
Overall the resort is amazing - and not very busy at the time we went. It is kept clean and you can see the constant work being undertaken to keep it that way. I don't know how the service etc. will be affected during busier times. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this to anyone - just watch out for the long transfer time from the airport!

After staying in Agonda for a few days we came here to The Leela for a bit of luxury and to spend New Year's Eve and my birthday somewhere special. The welcome was wonderful and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. We booked a premiere conservative room which overlooked the lagoon. The beach was wide and white. The sunbeds were in the shade under palm trees which was nice. We opted to laze by the pool as it was much quieter and beds were hard to get on the beach but it was a peak time to visit. We ate lunch at the beach restaurant which was very good. Breakfast buffet had something for everyone. Everywhere was clean and well kept. Iron and ironing board in the room plus hairdryer. On our last day our flight wasn't until 2am in the morning. The hotel kindly let us check out at 3 and also use the spa to shower and change into clothes that were needed for cold England. On my birthday we arrived back from the pool to find a birthday cake, a card and a bottle of champagne which was a very lovely touch. I've realised that each hotel all over the world has something different, something unique and there will always be someone who isn't happy with their choice of hotel. For me this hotel was about the staff. While checking out I began to get an itchy cough and a minute later one of the lovely ladies came over and asked if I would like some strepcils which she handed to me. We loved the New Year's Eve gala. Wonderful choice of food, the band were really good and managed to get a lot of people up on the dance floor and the evening ended with a fantastic firework display. The people on our table were great fun. A big thank you to all the staff and to the lovely Mona who was there's to greet us with her smile and beauty.
