Stayed here in November. Great location. Rooms very clean, great room boy Susanta.
lovely food in the restaurant and at the pool bar. Good choice of food at breakfast and plenty of it. Pool guy very helpful and friendly as with all the staff. Reception female staff could be a bit now friendly on check in and could smile. Grounds and pool very clean and tidy.Cant wait for our return visit in March.
This was our second stay at the O Hotel, we stayed for three weeks from 13th Nov to 4th Dec. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful especially Siddesh, Vishwesh, Vishal, Bhagwan, the reception staff were great (sorry I can't remember the names of all of the staff). Our room boy Avinash did a fab job every day.
Breakfast was very good, there was a huge choice on offer from cereals, toast, Indian food, fruit, omelettes, pastries. I had masala dosa with green chilli most mornings which were very good.
We had an evening meal in the restaurant one night and the food was really lovely, it's a shame more people don't eat in there.
On the whole the hotel is fine but the rooms are quite small with a tiny balcony and the pool is looking a bit shabby. The pool definitely needs work as there are a lot of tiles missing. The beach/pool area toilets were out of use at the time of our stay which was a shame as it meant everyone had to use one toilet in the spa. However we would still return as the staff, food and location are superb.
We ate out most other nights, our favourite places to eat were, Sam's Grills & Curries, Shivers, Tuscany Gardens and 21 Coconuts.
We did the Tigers, Tuskers & Temples trip and Hampi which both involved a lot of travelling but definitely worth it.
Our Thomson rep was Joey who is a great rep and a credit to Thomson, he is local and very knowledgeable. If you need anything just ask and he'll do his best to help.
If you want any clothing made go to PK, he is based at The Phoenix Park. He has made several shirts for my husband and a dress for me and the quality and price are superb.
Rauf at Papa's Kensington Palace (formerly Royal Gems) made some beautiful diamond earrings for me which were valued at double what we paid for them.
Candolim is a fabulous holiday destination which we are always sad to leave, we have made some great friends and look forward to returning in the future.
We went for a Family holiday in December , the resort is beautiful, very clean especially the restaurant in the hotel. We asked them to make non spicy food and they did a very good job there. We ate 4 out 5 dinners in this restaurant as it was perfect for the kids.
The swimming pool was awesome , very clean and perfect for both kids and adults. The only thing which we didn't like was mosquitoes in the evening . T
Great location and excellent eating places around this hotel. Very close the the beach which was what we required. Courteous staff except for the unpleasant scene created while checking out as they refused to give the bill as we had booked online through you. But they kept on delaying us to give us the bill and finally when the bills were issued, the General Manager came and told that they will not give the bills as booking was done online leading to a lot of unpleasantness and delay.
My family had an awesome time at this place. Rooms were very nice. It has private beach access and the beach is super with nice red sand as compared to the south Goa beaches with black sand. Swimming pool was nice and clean. They have a very good Spa too. Buffet breakfast was pretty nice. Hospitality was very nice.
