My stay at the O hotel was not that great. I would not recommend people to stay there as I was not happy with the hotel. This hotel was quite different from the pictures on the website. Food was ok and the rooms were not that good.

My stay at the hotel was very nice. Service was good and the food provided was also quite nice. Overall the hotel is nice and clean but I would not recommend people to visit this hotel during rainy season as there were a lot of mosquitoes.

The hotel had very incompetent staff. They appeared bewildered right at the gate where they didnt know how to handle the guest luggage. No directions were provided to reach the reception which was a good 5 minutes walk down a zig-zag path. Despite enough staff, check in took a long time. Luggage took longer to come to the reception area from the gate. The room was dirty and dingy and not worth the high price paid they charged me for a night's stay. There were stains on the wall and no proper lighting so it was always dark. For some reason, there was no mobile network connectivity. Hotel is not worth the cost I paid.

Do they have safes in the rooms? Yes Hotel was OK although we did wait 5 hours before we got our room which wasn't a good start to the holiday. Breakfast got boring after omelette every morning. Catered more for Indian people. Great access to fab beach and lovely pool area.

Our 7th visit to this very warm and welcoming hotel. Its situation is just perfect for us. The staff here are totally amazing nothing is too much trouble and they are so friendly this is what has brought us back time and time again. To the management your staff are a credit to you. Our special thanks this trip go to GM Gupta, Deepa, Janice, Cruz, Minguel, Siddesh, Narsing, Ravi, Bagwhan, Brian and Sanjay. If we could name everyone we would. Sorry to those we did not name personally you are all so special and looked after us so well. Our room was very well kept and well stocked for our every need. Welcome back cake much appreciated. Its these little touches that mean so much. The grounds at this hotel are a credit to those who tend them the 3 ladies and 2 gentlemen do a lovely job, everything is kept so neat and tidy. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off in and yes some of the tiles do need attention. The main thing I would suggest are steps into the pool instead of a ladder as for some guests it is difficult to get in and out. Food and beverage, breakfast very good with good choices, if you want something staff will try to get it for you. The pool bar is a great addition and frequently used. Sorry to say we did not eat in for dinner just so much to explore outside in the evening. Will look forward to seeing you next year - booked today!!!!

Great location to get away from it all, but still close enough if you're looking for nightlife. On the beach. Clean rooms but in need of a revamp. Our room boy Bishaup was very attentive and polite. Staff helpful and eager to please. Bar area quiet but Brian is good to have a laugh with. Don't be fooled by the brochure photo of the pool, it is a lot smaller than it looks. Pool guy looks after you though. Watch out for the missing kitkat out of your mini bar! If you meet the cat and kittens that hang around the hotel she likes tuna and the chicken sausages.

The only thing good about this hotel is the location.. It's bang on the beach and the beach is serene too. Rooms need a big time renovation, everything inside seems to be quite old with paint chipping out of every corner. The air conditioner in my room was making quite loud weird noises all night through even after being looked at by the maintenance team, they were like this is the best we can do. The worst part were the mattresses, sturdy fat iron wires were clinging out of the bed on each and every corner. Didn't expected this from The O after paying the kind of money they took. Definitely a Thumbs down.

We stayed for 2 weeks end January & February and we found it be so peaceful, quiet and relaxing. It has direct access to Candolim beach (albeit a short walk through the grounds) Breakfast was fine, although not a brilliant choice for Europeans. There were many Indian people staying there for short breaks (probably to utilise the on site Casino). The staff were all excellent and very helpful and seemed happy. It was interesting to see that the rooms were cleaned by young men instead of the more normal women (maybe that's traditional in India?) . If they were to reduce their food and drink prices they may find their facilities may be used more. We didnt eat there in the evenings as there were so many restaurants close by to try. As other people have commented they do have a lot of power cuts, which affected water supply, Air Cond, television and WiFi and seemed to happen at peak times in evening whilst everyone would be getting ready to go out. A hotel of this quality should be offering quality WIFI free of charge but they are still charging for. We would go back next time but may just look elsewhere depending upon these issues.
