Superbly located with a private aisle to Baga Superbly located with a private aisle to Baga

by Saru08 on December 14, 2016

Well maintained hotel with decent rooms and clean bed linens. When you are in North Goa all you want is easy walking access to Baga beach, easy proximity to Tito's lane, nice restaurants ,the Saturday market and of course a nice good night sleep in a clean room away from hassle of the streets when you are tired of a long hectic day . This hotel provides it all. Have a good sleep, stuff yourself up with the breakfast they provide (which of course can be improved), go to Baga from their private access spend the morning and noon at Baga, come back freshen up and take a byke and leave for the most happening area of Goa which is just a 5 min ride away and yes spend your late nights again at Baga as the atmosphere is just thrilling. All the other beaches are just a few mins drive away, The famous Zanteys Cashew's store is nearby. What more could you ask for. Improvements suggested: > Remove the dabba TV from rooms if you can't replace it with LCDs. > Buckets in bathrooms are pathetic, Replace them with new ones.( small expenditure but makes huge difference) > Include few more things in breakfast. > Improve Wifi But Overall"A THUMBS UP" :)

Nicely situated and lovely buildings but poor services et bad value with price Nicely situated and lovely buildings but poor services et bad value with price

Advantages: - Nicely situated, access to the beach and close from restaurants, bars, various shops and from the center of Calangute (5 min walking), - Pretty character buildings, quiet and secure place (a security agent is there all night), nice garden, - a functional restaurant (but the wifi does not work in the major part of it), - kind bedroom staff, restaurant and security staff, - functional air conditioning and hot water in the rooms. Weaknesses: - the services rendered and the equipments do not correspond to international hotels standards: . No wifi except around the reception, no computers, no Internet at all in bedrooms, . No transfer to the airport (the hotel booked for us a taxi on demand but the price invoiced was very more expensive than to the rates existing in Goa - 1600IR instead of 1000IR for the return with another taxi), . No change of money currencies (despite what is pretended on the Internet and even at the reception, the receptionist refused us three times this service, on three different grounds), . No spa or shop, . Approximate cleaning and maintenance of the buildings and of the rooms (spots on the sheets notably, old cables on the ground, dirty loungers and seats outside, view on rubbish from the room balcony, etc), . Not even a single bottle of water is furnished in the rooms, . Building works around the swimming pool. - As a conclusion, the price we paid (60 000IR for 8days for 2 rooms (2 people) i.e 850) do not correspond to the services and the equipments provided by the hotel and is very much too expansive regarding those.

Goa is one of best holiday spot in our Country. We (8 families) visited Goa during early December. This Resort is nearby to beach, it's like almost attached to beach. With such easy access, we can freshen up quickly. Not deep pool, but good one to relax Kids pool section available, though small. Food ordered was too good. Breakfast buffet needs improvement though. Worth for money spent.

We were at Vila Goesa from Nov 26th to Dec 2nd 2016. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely love to stay here again. As this is a three star property hence we did not have too much expectations, plus we read some reviews about this property on net (trip adviser) and then took some precautionary measures on our own. Feedback based on our experience is as follow: Pros: -This resort is very well located with private access to beach (walking distance from baga beach). You can also walk to Tito's lane from Vila Goesa. -Friendly staff -Nicely maintained garden -Nice spacious room. They have different type of rooms. Ours was room number 512. This is a standard (split) AC room. I could see some other rooms also had window AC. Bed and toilet were clean and matching standards of a 3 star property. -Excellent room service. We ordered morning tea on all 6 days which was served within 10 mins time. We also ordered a snack on one of the evenings which was served in 20 mins. -They have an external shower and tap to cleanup when you return from the beach -Room is cleaned daily. Just leave the "Make my Room" card on door when you leave during the day. -Airport transfer was arranged for us on request. We used it only for reaching the resort from airport as the cab arranged by hotel was slightly expensive than prepaid cabs available at airport. While returning we made our own arrangement Neutral: -Pool is good but is cleaned manually daily. It is clean to at least enjoy a swim but not as clean as some other properties where I have stayed in the past. Maybe they don't have an automated filtration plant or it doesn't work. -Jacuzzi is not operational -They have a setup for pool bar but it is not operational/constructed completely. -Hotel is slightly off route from the main road with under construction connecting road. As we had used hotel's arranged transport while coming from airport hence driver knew how to reach the hotel (He used an alternate route which took us to back entrance) Cons: -Electrical switch sockets in room are not good. They don't hold a two pin plug which made it tough to charge phone. I had my extension chord with three pin plug which helped us (was suggested in one of the reviews). -Breakfast menu definitely needs improvement. Very limited options and Indian breakfast (bhatura, aaloo poori etc.) had excess usage of oil making it very unhealthy, even the taste needs improvement. Masala omelette is very good and served on order (part of complimentary breakfast). -No wifi. Though this is listed in cons but I would not recommend the hotel to ever setup a wifi. It helps you to disconnect during vacation. -Mobile connectivity from room was an issue. This was a problem for airtel but worked very well for vodafone. Don't know about other networks. -The signals for TV channels were poor. But this is also something which is not needed during vacation. Overall we loved our stay at Vila Goesa. This is best suited for people who come on vacation to explore Goa and want comfortable stay for nights to recharge themselves for next day's trip.

We had taken standard AC was really nice.. Full marks... Cleanliness, ambience everything. Buffet Breakfast was also included in the cost. I reached goa at 9am but check-in was 1pm..but I didn't know that they allow to keep luggage in separate room .. which was again a good thing. I used that on checkout day.. check out was 11am and bus was 8pm.. Twice i ordered food from resort ..and it was tasty as well.. Swimming pool was also awesome.. So overall full marks.
