My best friend and I took on to celebrate our birthday in this beautiful resort. My friend had been here earlier and insisted that I should try it out too. it's a nice place they have so much to offer as far as entertainment is concerned. Yummy dinner was made even more special with live music . Beach is just a walk away. The place is affordable too.I would recommend it to peopen, it's value for money.
Sheer delight packed into just one week - our first time at Whispering Palms, Goa....
Our family of three had only one week in mid-February for a break from cold, wintry UK. After searching via the Internet and contact with travel agents, we decided that Goa was the ideal location with direct flights from the UK to match the available dates. Among the options in North Goa (Candolim in particular) we eventually booked the Whispering Palms Beach Resort as it had good reviews and was ideally located.
Our first choice of a room with a balcony accommodating three was unavailable on arrival at 3am, but the staff were very helpful with moving us into our preferred room as soon as it became available.
We found the facilities on offer excellent, the short walk to the beach, the local shops, free WiFi, etc. a bonus. The staff were without exception courteous, friendly and so helpful - no stone left un-turned in making our short stay as enjoyable as possible.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner cuisine was varied and plentiful with excellent entertainment in the evenings and we had no hesitation with inviting friends and family to join us at a modest additional cost.
Many thanks to all the staff at Whispering Palms for your excellent service. Hoping to see you again next year.
As a frequent traveler the overall trip to Candolim was 'ok' but the hotel staff really made our trip. We came as two big 'loud' families with lots of kids and we felt nothing but welcomed by all the staff.
Although in need of updating or even a little clean, they do have TWO baby high chairs, which as we've learned in Candolim is pretty unheard of as most places have non or at the most just one.
Pools are very clean with a separate toddler pool.
Food is good and if there is something you want that isn't on the menu they are more than happy to make it fresh.
As valentines fell during our trip I asked the staff to make private arrangements for flowers and balloons in the room. They sneaked in whilst we were at breakfast and set it all up beautifully.
I've had the chance to pop into a couple of other hotels on the top review list that we considered staying during my research as our friends (with no kids) are staying and I am so happy we made the right choice.
The beach is practically on the doorstep.
I recommend that once you get to the sand turn right and use Ryan's Shack. Less dogs, free beach beds if drinking/eating and great music with less disturbance from hustlers.
Overall I can't see that you will find another hotel as good for close to the same price range in Candolim.
Just had 2 weeks here. January/February. Hotel was clean. We did get a bit 'curried out' but the chef would cook something plain if you asked. Our room didn't have a view, but it had a great shower and always kept clean. We didn't see any of the animation team and the regular entertainment wasn't up to much, although the acrobats were fantastic, as was 'Carnival night'. Had a great holiday and would return to Candolim, I wouldn't go all inclusive again as there are plenty of nice, cheap places to eat out.
I have had a fabulous experience at whispering Palms hotel. Every member of staff has been lovely , professional, anything requested however small was sorted. After travelling the world. I would highly recommend this resort. I have never encountered such happy obliging staff. The all inclusive package was excellent. Great food, drink and entertainment. Every member of staff is a credit to the hotel. I chose to spend several days on the beach with numerous shacks (beach bar/ restaurants) 1 min walk from hotel. The beach also was lovely and spacious. Our girls group had several days at Maya's and Ryans shacks. Maya's was peaceful. Ryans played incredible music from 5-till late, it was brilliant....great DJ
I will definitely be going back to Goa, and will pre book Whispering Palms again. Sinitta, Vinda and all front of house staff were amazing, as were all of the staff. Thank you.
whilst Goa is beautiful, there is a lot of poverty there, which is evident everywhere outside the hotel. Cows and dogs along the streets. It all added to the Goan experience.
One of our group of girls has been going for 18 years, now I know why. I will be back Loved every minute.
We had a great holiday
