This place is only for a retreat. Just come, sleep and get out. The restaurant doesn't have cool water. When asked, they say the refrigerator has been down for quite sometime. And, coming to the room, the receptionist was with the attitude,"take it or get out". We took it and paid a pretty heavy sum for a Non-AC 4-bedded room. The hotel staff were reluctant to change soiled sheets. And was giving us a look even the next morning, since we asked him to change all those. Phew! I didn't like it.

A very good hotel with decent tariff. Very well received by hotel reception. We had taken an ac room for 1500. Room was in good shape, clean linen. A place to go for short stays at gokarna. Auto stand close by, they charge 30 Rs to drop you at the temple and beach is just a stone throw away from the temple. Overall a pretty good property.

I stayed at this hotel with 3 of my friends. We payed a high security deposit and was given a room with no electricity and it was in a very bad condition. We got this room around 8 am. The owner told us that this room is temporary but charged us Rs 1000 for it (i have traveled enough to understand that these rooms are not worth more than 200 anywhere). We stayed in this room for roughly 8 hours and payed 1000 for it. The owner had agreed to give us a single room initially with 4 beds but disagreed later and gave us two non ac rooms. We were not very happy but agreed and were charged Rs 1500 each plus Rs 500 security deposit. These rooms were given to us around 4pm. So we asked the manager about the time we are expected to checkout and he told us it was 4pm the next day and we would be given the refund. The next day when we came to checkout, the manager kept asking us to hurry and leave before the owner comes. By the time we came down, the owner refused to give us our deposit and started screaming at us in Kannada. We requested him to talk calmly but to no use. This resulted in a heated arguement and eventually the owner took out a bamboo and threatened to beat us with it. He kept abusing(mc, bc etc) us constantly. (we were 3 girls and one guy). The manager refused to interact with us and stood back. Later we left the hotel as we figured out it was no use. This made us feel cheated and were very disappointed with this place. I would highly recommend you to avoid this place if you are looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
