Fraudulent: Police asked us to check out ASAP! Fraudulent: Police asked us to check out ASAP!

by Anuj K on February 6, 2017

I happened to spend a night at your hotel on the night of Jan 28th and police was there on the premise because the compound is not officially registered. My grievances 1. Harassment by police and being forced to check out 6 AM in the morning 2. Hotel in charge was arrested in night and staff had no clue what was going on. 3. No arrangement for breakfast for which we paid. 4. Basic utilities were missing. Even a hand wash soap was not available in the private or common washroom. 5. None of the activities mentioned in the hotel site are any good..kayaking pool had ankle deep water. When I check in a hotel, I expect a minimum amount of service where these guys grossly failed.

Amazing Amazing

I visited this place on January 20th 2017. It's an amazing place, go for the tree house, you will get amazing view. Food is okay, service is good. If you are lucky, you can see elephants from your balcony, you can hear them breaking bamboos at night.

Utter Disregard for the health and safety of the guests Utter Disregard for the health and safety of the guests

by Sathish K on January 16, 2017

In a nutshell, almost all of our 23 member group were food poisoned pretty badly due to the food from the Deep Jungle Camp Resort. It is quite appalling that this resort is allowed to operate legally. We stayed there for 3 nights 4 days in late december 2016. We were a family of 18 with 5 kids. Almost all of us suffered from food poisoning from the recycled/reheated food that they served us mindlessly with utter disregard for the health and safety of the paying guests. All for what, to save a few bucks ?. Shame on them. The employees running the show there seem to have no clue about hygiene and sanitation which is a reflection on the management. It is appalling that they had no consideration that there were little kids who were even more vulnerable. The price they charge is no less either. It is disgusting that the resort is willing to make money at any cost (at the very expense of the guests who trust and pay them good money for a decent experience). I wouldnt recommend this to anyone unless they are really wishing for a really horrible experience.

Do Not Risk Your Health Do Not Risk Your Health

A very big no to this place. Extremely unhygienic food, very muddy and untreated water which was sourced from a practically stagnant creek. Our experience (18 adults and 5 kids for 4 days - with 3 nights spent there during December 2016). Food: Very, very unhygienic. Stored and served repeatedly by people (whose hygiene was quite questionable - the boys who prepared and served the food and who worked there, remained in same clothes for the complete duration of our stay). The thing is those who stay in the place for a day or two might not realise that the food was REPEATEDLY recycled. The recycling of the food caused pretty much our entire group to fall sick to food poisoning - each of us suffering for at least two weeks. While some became very sick at the 'resort' itself, most of us suffered for many many days after. I should also mention that most of the cooked chicken was raw. Water: Untreated, smelly and discoloured water from thoe creek that hardly moves. This water was used for showering purposes and was shared with their pet dog that plays in the very same creek for bath (pumped in overhead tank). Overall was an extremely painful experience. While the place is nice, unfortunately, the food, hygiene issues and pure negligence of the workers make the effort very risky and unworthy.

I visited in Dec with my 4 friends. We had booked one tree house and one Swiss tent. Tree House - Extraordinary, beautiful amazing. Swiss tent - Very comfortable and nice Both rooms stay option were awesome. We reached Deep Jungle morning 11, and checked in. A person received us and all the arrangements were already in place. It is perfect place to enjoy jungle stay. Next to my room they were placed a net and just very next to Lake site. I just enjoyed nice food and Kayaki. Food was the best part, nice food. Nature walk was the most exciting part of the stay, just amazing and exciting. Staff was very supporting. Ranjan, MAhesh, Sundar, and specially our cook Mahendra all were superb. Mahesh and Ranjan very helpful taking for Nature walk. Nice river site to enjoy and nearby can see some animals if you lucky. Deer you will surely get nearby, even in front of resort. Elephant if lucky. Madumalai is very green forest. Please don't expect as a featured hotel. Stay - 4.5 Place - 5 Food - 5 Service - 5
