Hello I booked this hotel as it is very near to the temple. On arrival I was told that the AC Deluxe room which I had booked was not available and I have to opt for an ordinary double room. I had to accept this proposal as I had no other choice. They also told me that TravelGuru is giving them many headaches. Initially on check in they told me that the price difference between the AC deluxe room and the ordinary room (2889-1927 = 962) will be returned at the time of check out. The room was only average and tiny. At the time of check out they told me that they could only give Rs 790 as Travelguru gave them only Rs 2717. After much persuasion they reluctantly gave Rs 905 saying that they are giving me a discount of Rs 115.I accepted this and checked out. I was very much disturbed by this experience as I could not stay in the room of my choice and I had to argue a lot to get the money due to me. Dr.Sreekumar.V, email@example.com 9447474800
Not so good... i had paid the amount to travelguru but they had not received it.. they made us wait close to an hour and every one there was clueless what to do.. WHY SHOULD THE CUSTOMERS SUFFER FOR THE INEFFICIENCY OF TRAVELGURU and THE VYSHAKH INTERNATIONAL.. Never going to use this service again

The Vyshakh is perhaps the hotel nearest to the temple; in fact you can step out of the back gate of the hotel onto the outer grounds of the temple; a 3-4 minutes walk from the main entrance and the queue formation area. Vyshakh is neat and clean, but the non-airconditioned room that I stayed in remains the smallest hotel room that I have seen; so is the bathroom. However, it is ok for an overnight stay, and especially so for the Nirmalyam pooja. The hotel has a good restaurant and is close to many other eateries. Free wi-fi is available. So, altogether a good place to stay in at Guruvayur.
This hotel shares to temple wall and the access is so easy that you step inside the temple permise from the hotel itself. Thats the only advantage of the hotel. the rooms are well maintained but not the doors. We took three rooms and our room door will not close unless you lock it. If you lock it from inside, you must sure shed some blood to open it again, thank god we found some way to lock it. If you lock it from outside, then you should have some extraordinary skills to open it. No other room was available so we have to stay with it for 24 hrs. Adding to this was the lift of pre-independance period. You will never know if the correct button was pressed until you reach your floor. It cannot hold more than 3 people. The most disappointment was the restaurant. The afternoon food on the first day we had was simple and good kerala meals and i was happy as fan of Kerala cuisine but it was a total disappointment after that... They do not have any other kerala cuisine for dinner or breakfast.. no puttu, appam or kadala curry. They serve only North Indian and Chinese for dinner and only idli, dosa and poori for breakfast Growup guys...
The hotel itself is good because it is very close tot he temple. Rooms are clean, but toilet is stinking. They charge Rs.4000 plus for a temple view room. But this is 50% higher when compared to the facilities you get by paying such a high room rent. The temple view is not possible because of the trees, The room is blank except for the cot, TV & sofas. They had a 24 Hr check in facility earlier which was a convenience to travelers who wish for Temple Darshan in the morning as well as evening, especially those who would like to reach by the morning train and leave in the evening. I found the front desk staff very haughty and impolite at the time of check out when inquired about the facilities and changed check out time. The one liner would be, never try this hotel unless you run out of rooms in other hotels
Vysakh International is very close to the Guruvayur temple and is just a 3 minutes walk away. You also can access the side entrance in case you do not need to go inside the Sanctum Sanctorum on days when there is a heavy crowd for darshan and the queues can be quite long. The side entrance lets you enter the temple and pray to the Lord from inside the temple itself and also walk around the perimeter . The hotel is ideal for an mid budget traveler with the prices being around Rs 2,000 per night. However breakfast is not included in the rates . The restaurant offers good vegetarian food which they claim is organic . The breakfast specially their masala dosas are quite delicious with an array of chutneys and sambar to add flavor . The reception staff are quite friendly and are anxious to handle all your enquiries and will guide you on the temple darshan timings. The hotel is about 10 minute away from the Guruvayur Railway station by vehicle .This Railway station does not have many train services but all the connections can be checked online. In all one of the best hotels to stay in Guruvayur within a budget of approx.: Rs 2,000 per day for non-aircon rooms .
Amazing hotel which i have frequented for now over 10 years or so. Its proximity to the temple and cleanliness is a definite advantage. But given the year-on-year increase in tariffs, expectations and service quality of customers needs to be factored by the mgt. Restaurant service especially has to improve with more people.
