Was there last week...there was no lift so a service lift with, guess what, no door, was used and a person accompanied me to my assigned room where the key would not work. So there I was, waiting, waiting. The person came back later with another key which didnt work either. Finally a master key arrived and I was let in but the person took away the key saying that I would be allowed to come and go only after requesting the reception who would assign a person to escort me and let me in! Later that night, I waited interminably long to get someone to open the door for me after the man at the reception (there was a duty change) did not recognise me. And so my stay went... I could not summon the service lift for fear that I would plunge into the shaft below given the absence of any door. We had an international guest who was staying in the hotel's suite but did not get hot water. On the day of my check out, I woke up at 5 AM only to find no hot water. Noone at any of the numbers, room service, reception, etc picked up. After a lot of effort finally someone responded and switched on the control switch for hot water (so dont expect it all the time). I had to walk down all the floors each time I needed to go down. Awful. How can the hotel function like this?

Worst Experience. We had booked a standard double room, but were offered a twin room. On checking with the reception folks they pushed the beds in order to make it double irrespective of the interior of the room. Floor was wooden and it was stinking. Rooms were not cleaned and to my surprise I found a used towel in the cupboard. Washrooms had low ceilings and I found a lizard as well. Towels were stained, bedsheets were not clean either. Terrible Hotel, not worth a single penny.

Not a single good thing I could write about this place. We checked-in on the new year's eve. I had prior booking despite that we were made to wait with all our luggage while regular party goers were being attended to by all the staff members. Next we found out that the elevator was dysfunctional. As in it would only go all the way to the top or to the lobby. So, if you had to go to the diner which was on the first floor then you'd had to go all the way down to the lobby then take the stairs to the 1st floor. And now the best part....the room. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was dirt all over. The white bedsheets had dirty footprints on them. The breakfast buffet table had ants all over the food. When we brought it to the chef's notice he got us some food from the kitchen. Finally our checkout was equally disappointing. We had ordered room service and they added a couple of items to our bill which we had not ordered. When I challenged the front desk guy he was adamant that they were indeed ordered. When I asked for the bill they said that it will be emailed to me. However, I am yet to receive it.

Well this is a decent place to stay specially for one or two nights, railway station is just a kilometer away so it will be a good place for travellers who want to sleep a bit more. Food is decent and staff is also good. This area is called as Pan bazaar

The Hotel prag Continental is 24kms distance from Guwathi Airport, situated in pan bazaar, the rooms are neat and clean, i reached the hotel at morning, but they allowed me to check in early, breakfast was provided, they gave me the room at 4th floor,elevator had an issue so from ground floor you should go to 5th floor and step down the stairs to reach 4th floor, elevator won't stop in 2/3/4 floor, WiFi signal is too low.
