We had booked 7 rooms during Diwali 2018.
1. Hotel management adhered to our request of rooms adjacent to each other.
2. Rooms are pretty spacious and clean.
3. Hotel staff is warming and helpful
4. Location - Next to haridwar railway station and bus stop
In the heart of Haridwar
5. Room prices
Areas of improvement:
1. Only showers available in rooms. No taps filling water for bath. Water wastage can be avoided
2. They do not give food plates in bulk if you eat outside food as per management policy.
If you let go minor things, overall good place to stay. I would definitely recommend.
- Good View from the station Side road
- Good Service
- Easy to locate
- Has parking area for vehicles
- Bathroom should have a Tap atleast. Some Indians normally face problems with Shower.
Excellent Hotel for those who have to align with Train timing, saying this as this Hotel is far away from Har Ki Pauri ghat, but this is a 3 Star category Hotel with excellent Room, food is costly, we were being given a Premium room which was pretty big with King size bed, Refrigerator, Sofa set, Tea/Coffee maker
We stayed at The Le Roi, Haridwar in late August of this year and I must say, the first thing that strikes you is the premier location. The hotel is located right beside the railway station, within the complex. You can literally see the hotel from the platforms.
Location : As mentioned, the hotel's location is premier. It is a whole different world in this part of Haridwar, especially inside the hotel. For first time visitors to Haridwar, the environment might come as a bit of a shock, as it was for me personally. Near the Ganga Ghats, it's a bit of a cluster, truth be told. It's crowded, dirty and quite uncomfortable. So, getting back to the hotel was a bit of a relief for us.
Room : This is where we are unhappy with the hotel. The first room that we were allotted was dark, dingy and extremely small. There was hardly a space to eat dinner, which was why we decided not to get room service at all. The washroom too was damp and dirty, with a faulty exhaust fan. When we brought that to the hotel's notice, they tried to fix it, failing which they changed our room the next day. The new room, directly opposite the previous one, was a bit bigger and better than the first which begs the question : We booked a Premium Room, which is apparently the best room in the hotel. Why were we given such a ordinary room on the first day and then a much better room on the next, when both were supposedly worth the same? We suspect that the hotel management tried to hoodwink us on the first day by pawning off a lower category room on the 1st day, which is completely out of order.
Food and Service : The best part of the hotel. The room service gentlemen, the restaurant staff and the food were the best part of the hotel. The staff were unfailingly polite, always available and keen to do the best job they could. The food, including the buffet breakfast, was also excellent. Truly excellent and we loved dining at the restaurant every day.
Would we return? If we were assured that the management wouldn't try to trick us once again by providing a lower category room than the one we had booked, yes.
The biggest plus point for Hotel le ROI was it's location. It's a minute walk from the Haridwar railway station. The room was quite spacious and the facilities were good. We were unable to try out the restaurant. Due to its proximity to station there are many food joints available nearby. They provide gangajal on check out to each of the guests.
