It was a great experience. I was quite pampered to receive such a service. The food was hygienic and fresh. The room was spacious and cleanliness was maintained to the perfection. The staff was friendly and the reception was superb. The view of Ganga was unforgettable. The location was excellent. It was truly a recommendable property.

No problem with the hotel but it's condition is best described as faded elegance. Very expensive for what it was. Also booking was a bit difficult. Online site would not accept my credit card and then when I phoned to complete the booking, the price had mysteriously gone up! Very suspect.

The room was below standard as there was not even fridge in the room. Apart from that service was decent and food arrangement was also satisfactory. The location was also easily accessible.

We stayed here for two days and wished it was longer. Our room was overlooking the Ganges. Everything is perfect from the complimentary evening soup on the terrace to the wonderful and tasty food that is served. The food is absolutely delicious.The rooms are very comfortable and the location is superb. A unique hotel and I would recommend the Hari Ganga without hesitation. All the staff are very friendly and really want to achieve a great experience for all the guests. The welcome is lovely and this feeling continues throughout the stay. Front of house are really helpful and reception host Sonu Ghapta is very approachable and has a real can do attitude and this positive attitude is used by all the team.i will definitely return there and if you are lucky enough to stay here it will be very memorable. A real highlight of my 41 day tour of India.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The rickshaw ride through the market to arrive at the hotel was lovely. We loved the flute music and the evening harmonium and drums and musicians. The atmosphere and feeling of this place is hard to describe. We were very disappointed when we went downstairs for daily yoga and there was no one there to lead the class, but it happens. The rooms were beautiful and authentic, right down to the padlocks on the doors for locking. Inside the room, it was tidy, but quite dirty. I cleaned all the light switches and the phone as they were grungy. When checking the mattress for bed bugs, (there were none) we noticed the sheets had stains on them. They didn't seem unwashed, just stained. The rugs in the floors had sand or dirt on them. This did not ruin anything about the trip. We appreciated the tomato soup upon arrival and the hospitality of the staff. The food was excellent in the restaurant. The patio overlooking the Ganges river was beautiful. All the artwork and personal touches around the hotel give it a very authentic unique feel.

Enjoyed the stay. Beautiful location and very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed 3 nights and they served a sumptuous breakfast with different varieties of vegetarian food each day. Have a private ghat too.

Definitely the best hotel service in India, in its class. Things go so smoothly you don't realise its happened. I took room 407 on the top floor, because it had a window looking out at the hills, and a window you can open in the bathroom which made the room lighter than others. This floor is shared by one other room and the spa rooms for treatment. There is a roof top patio overlooking the Ganges with chairs and tables to enjoy alone. Very calm, serene and private. The buffet changed every day, with so many surprises. Chef is there to explain and help with dietary needs. No request went unfulfilled. and their attention to detail and the clients comfort, faultless. Such professional attentive staff and all levels. You certainly feel look after and cared for. My 6 day stay was bliss. Thank you

It's on the banks of Ganga and access is by a rickshaw. The Hotel is apt for family stay and the service and food was top notch...staff were also very helpful in guiding us for direction and arranging transfers to nearby places of interest. It's very near to Ghat and we were fortunate to see the Ganga Aarti and eat the famous kachori. The rooms are slightly barely furnished but comfortable. Mornings starts with bhajan and feeling of piousness. The whole experience of staying in this Hotel was that of peace and calm...would surely stay here again as it beats staying in five stars.
