I stayed here on business, the hotel was good with all the necessary amenities, although in my room I could not get the Wi-Fi to work only problem was for sleeping its very noisy. The upgrade to the suite is a good option
This is pertaining to my last visit for a duration for a week at Marriott Convention Centre, Hyderabad. I am a regular there as part of work, however this time I took my wife and 2.5 year old daughter along view the long duration and the experience was as amazing as always. Family was more than pleased with the staff, facilities, dining spread, varieties and comfort offered. The staff would always pamper them, thus they never missed me when I was away. I would like to mention a few of the staff specially- ANCHAL, ANKIT, KINIAN AND PRIYANKA at OKRA the dining area. Special mention to Chef CHINMAY PANDA for individual attention and delicacies. House keeping staff was also very nice like DIKSHIT KUMAR. Overall the experience was very impressing from gym, dining, room service, House keeping and front desk. Looking forward for my next stay :-)
If you are travelling to Hyderabad/Secunderabad and would like stay at a place which is conveniently located, offers all the luxuries of reputed international brand and doesn't burn a hole in your pocket, then would recommend the Hyderabad Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre. Overlooking the famous Hussain Sagar Lake, which bridges the twin cities of both Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the hotel offers numerous stay and dining options. Because it was another local hotel (Hotel Viceroy) which was taken over by the Marriott, the size of many rooms are not to Marriott's standards, but are comfortably appointed with standard amenities and will ensure you are never let down. The Hotel has a small swimming pool, decently equipped gymnasium and spa. They serve Buffet Breakfast, which is complimentary with most of the packages and is just ok, though it offers a wide varieties of options. There are other local/international dining options at the Hotel. Wifi is complimentary depending on the package you chose. As the Hotel is centrally located, it is easy to commute to whichever part of Hyderabad/Secunderabad you chose to travel. However the city traffic is chaotic in peak offers as in any Indian city now a days and it is better to plan well in advance for an event/meeting. The roof top bar overlooking the Hussain Sagar Lake (Which boasts of the largest monolithic stone statue of Budha in the world) is good and you can spend relaxing evenings over there. The Hotel is supposed to be having the largest convention Centre in Hyderabad and one can plan for large events, conferences and exhibitions over there. There is another Courtyard Marriott hotel, which is connected to the main Marriott ensuring you are almost never turned back for lack of room availability. Overall it's a good value for money Hotel in Hyderabad/Secunderabad.
I went to Marriott on 8th Jan and they debited 40,000 from my card, when I left after a week (13th Jan)there was an expected refund of 3822 Rs.
Which is still not reflecting in my card. (> than a month)
1) Its a corporate card and I have a liability towards my company to ensure that money spent as needed
2) I called > that 5 times and they keep me promising revised dates
3) If issue still persist for few more days, I have to pay from my pocket and have to follow the separate process altogether to settle in the system, which is a great inconvenience for me
You can have the credit card details at check-in, however Ideally the correct amount should be debited while checking out
I left the hotel with a good impression at my mind but now it is completely reversed.
This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you are in Hyderabad. Centrally located it is convenient to many locations that you may want to visit during your stay. The facilities are beautiful and the staff do an amazing job at making you feel right at home.
