This is a delightful hotel ,
Firstly the internet access is smooth and seemles essential for work purposes
This hotel is blessed with a beautiful pool area where you can eat and enjoy the ambience. The pool itself is artistically attractive,it also has a miniature island (within the central area of the pool)that you can relax on,and the surrounding pool curves around like a wide serpent with even a bridge to swim under!
There is a lovely therapeutically harmonious spa where the staff are attentive and friendly offering the usual spa treatments from pedicures to massages, facials etc.'with soothing background music.
There is a treatment bay that overlooks the pool area yet its discreetly screened off with see through blinds where you can be treated in privacy.occupents in the pool area cannot see you.
I needed convincing though!
The room service I find excellent generally ,,,,for local Indian cuisine, yet I would suggest average for international dishes. In any case one should stick to the culturally intrinsic dishes if one is staying
I have to confess on this recent visit my lamb biryani was a disappointment.fatty mutton ,although tender.I have not experienced this before.
The rooms are large spacious and comfortable. Not overly luxurious yet wonderful to have a selection of pillows and a most comfortable bed.very pleasant.
Hotel lobby ,reception and general eating areas coupled with the general decor around the hotel that discreetly illustrate exquisite touches of traditional Indian art, and unique and beautiful flower displays, makes for Visually enticing and relaxing spaces.
All the staff are courteous and accommodating, many recognising me as a previous guest.
Finally the pigeons appear to.be attracted to this hotel s exterior too!( The grassed balcony area!)
So one has to adjust to the cooing sounds of theses birds that are in ,most major cities!
Don't worry windows are kept clean etc!
My room had lovely views over the pool, local area and I was pleased to be able to also see the coast line in the background.
Considering the time it takes to get from one place to another due to the heavy traffic, I reluctantly picked this hotel due to its convenient location and I'm glad I did. It was a very pleasant experience and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would particularly like to thank Divit at the front desk who went that extra mile to make us feel comfortable and special. Thank you Divit. While I did not have the opportunity to eat lunch or dinner at the Kakatiya, the breakfast was extraordinary. One thing I can say for sure- Kakatiya is the place I'm going to stay at on my next visit.
Been to ITC many times and it never disappointed me with food. love their kathi roll chicken in the lounge area restaurant down and their buffet is amazing. very kid friendly place. biryani there was very tasty
Starting with the Doorman each one is so caring and attentive.
I stay at the Kakatiya several times in a month and look forward to my every trip there.
My special thanks to the doorman Singh , Durgiah at the concierge, Swati at the reception, Abdullah at the , for going out of their way to make my stay special.
Breakfast at the Deccan Pavillion is delightful, with a good choice of healthy, wholesome food. Chef Srinivas and others seem to be innovating all the time. Shajan, JiJo , Vijo and then others at the Pavillion, whose names I am enable to recall immediately, are so warm, hospitable and prompt , Room Service is also good , with nice selection of healthy food... Super food Slaw is one of my favourites. The housekeeping is also excellent. If I have'nt mentioned some of the names of the wonderful Kakatiya team, it is just too many names to remember.
I always stay here when visiting Hyderabad, despite numerous new luxury hotels appearing on the scene. The Kakatiya never disappoints and the service is first class. Will certainly be back next time. I also ate in the hotel restaurant, Dashkin, this time and it was excellent, very highly recommended
