We had great time with family. The best part of rainforest is its ambience and view. There restaurant is nice and well decorated by the name of timber lounge. Rooms were good. Overall nice stay with no complaints

Trust me guys don't go by the images of the villas or peoples description. This is the worst resort I have ever been to. To start of with the Villas look very good from outside well maintained etc. The blankets they provide smells I guess they are not washed, the bedsheets are dirty, the switches are broken, TV has the most limited channels and between stopped working because they had not done the payment. If you need any service from those guys you will wonder whom to call as there isn't any list which provides the contact numbers for room service, reception etc. Only after me personally going to the reception and asking them the numbers I got that info. Let's quickly move to room service. Again the worst ever, we were in the room for an hour or so and there was no water to drink, again went personally to tell the reception guys only then got some water in a Jar. The intercom is world class state of art facility , if you call the room in which your friends /family reside it gets connected to some other room. You get cross connections from other room too and van hear their conversations. There is nothing known as hospitality here as the room service guys are trained to say NO. When the guys came in next morning to clean the room I had asked them to change the blanket the guys said no we can't. I was like why???? And forced him to change it. Bath towels which were already yellowish and lukg dirty were not changed while cleaning the room next day even after asking them to do so. Afternoon when we tired of travelling and needed some rest these room service guys were sitting in our veranda and chit chatting..We Obviously couldn't sleep. Bedsheets were not changed and they were just doing formality by providing room service. Coming to the most important factor food. I have no words for it how disgusting it was. The only edible item in the buffet was dal and rice. The pasta(which was named very well like pasta in red sauce) was nothing but pasta in water with red colour in it or ketchup I guess... But was not edible. Evening they had bhel with tomato ketchup(who the hell puts ketchup in bhel????) After eating the bhel my wifes stomach got upset and after that we did not have anything from the buffet. For a 2k room we payed 7k for new years hoping to have atlst some good food but was very disappointing. Only good thing was the batata wada for evening snacks and the medu wada in brkfst rest everything from brkfst to dinner was just DISGUSTING!! Now the best part and 2 of the most annoying things which I had to face. There isn't any mobile network here except of idea and the WiFi which these guys claim to provide as a service is the worst ever. Ever heard WiFi signal not available in your room but only near the reception of the hotel?? Guess what this is the place where the usual thing hapnd. And the other thing was the bathroom window was covered with some welcrow kind of things and had gaps in between where a person standing outside can see if someone is bathing inside. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM GOING TO THIS RESORT GUYS

Rain forest is actually a dry forest Rain forest is actually a dry forest

Rain forest resort is a bit over rated . The location is good but approach is pathetic . The FnB is quite amateur . The place is pure veg and doesnt have a bar . The rooms are average . No room service . The resort is tailormade for vegetarians on a family holiday . People are loud and play loud music too with utter disregard to other residents . The resort itself has music blaring from loudspeakers at most times . Avoidable headache .

Poor Service, Bad Food Poor Service, Bad Food

Pros: Nice Rooms, Resort situated between the hills , would be beautiful in monsoon The pros end there Cons: -Pathetic service, aloof staff, no staff acknowledges your request and keep passing you to someone else, then he would ask you to call a number, when you would call you would be asked to call a new number and in frustration you give up -Food was bad and tasteless , the butter served with breakfast was stinking when checked with the staff they were using a brand never heard of, the sweet was made in dalda or some poor quality ghee, the fruits in fruit salad were stale and had gone bad -Checked with them if we can take our own cold drinks juices as read that nothing was available close by , when we went the store started to ask money but later told that for that cost he would store only for 2 hours, had to talk to 3-4 people do a lot of to an fro to finally get it cooled ( i requested the staff to first pick them up from the room , they refused and we had to walk to the store to get this done and keep haggling not exactly the way you want to spend your day of liesure) -It was really cold and all we had was a one very thin blanket , we slept in cold because no room service and no one to attend even if we called the numbers -The road to the resort from highway is around 4-5 kms and really bad, if you want to get food or anything else you would need to traverse this road to and fro, basically either you give up on having better food or spend your day off doing the chores -The place is not cheap, and pricing is close to a decent 3 star hotel else were (considering the food is worthless and essentially u are paying for the room)

Just above average Just above average

by Vian_44 on December 23, 2016

The property is beautiful & the area surrounding it is scenic. Dams & forts around the hotel for sight seeing. The restaurant doesn't have a menu card & quote any price, also only veg food is served which was a disappointment. There is no bar in the premises. I had gone to Manas resort which was around 6 kms away for drinks and dinner (worth it). All that said, cannot take anything away from the property of rain forest. Rooms too were ok. Hence my overall rating for this place would be just above average.
